I would say that it's starting to look less and less like a drastic and rapid format change is in order. That's to say nothing of the increase in quality (perceived or measured) in the next-generation players, but just that most people are pretty content with DVD, have invested a decent amount in viewing material, don't have HDTV-playing capabilities, and aren't in any hurry to replace it. On a semi-related note, while <i>Peter Pan</i> is slated to be reissued next year, I don't think that we can read that as its expulsion from the Platinum Collection. But if it needs to be said again, we all seem to care far more about consistency to the Platinum line than BVHE itself does.
