Well, the U.S. has a picture of MEEKO! (he's cute!)
But the U.K version is to girly-ish.
And the French cover is nice, and more suited for adults.
Is it fine to say that I do like the U.S. version because I'm a teen?

Too girly in color, eh? Hrm.
I really like the UK cover but it's basically just a rehash of the old U.S. VHS cover and that's a bit boring (although Beauty and the Beast's DVD featured reused artwork too from its old VHS cover...). The U.S. 2-disc looks more like a cover that belongs on a sing-along CD than anything else (Pocahontas's uncharacteristically happy face, lots of emphasis on Meeko, etc.).
this cover is ugly! how can you not see that? as they did for the gold collection edition, they took some old existing material and altered it. we've been having this mediocre cover in france for some time and I was expecting a new one. the alice dvd cover was nice. it was made especially for the dvd. it was dark and poetic and stuck with symbolic characters from the film. this pocahontas is a joke. it does look like a cheap illustration from a storybook. I hope they'll change it. I don't like when they try to fill a cover with all the characters. I prefer a simple cover where they focus on the main character as they did with Snow White.

I wouldn't count on them changing it any time soon, so I'm afraid you'll either have to import one with a cover you like or just learn to like it. It's not that bad at all, and fits nicely with Alice

At least one good thing came out of my Criminal Law in Context class! Thanks Maeve!
sorry, I'm completely delusional. I was thinking the European covers of the Pocahontas Gold Collection. Bleh, anyway no sense in babbling on about how bad or cheaply done the cover design is I suppose.
The UK cover for the Special Edition is actually the same cover of the original US Pocahontas VHS (Masterpiece Collection, 1996)

Well everyone has their own tastes... some like it, some don't but I don't think you have to worry. You're in France and they have the best cover out there.
I'm glad to finally see the cover art, however this makes for another US cover that could have been better. Art like this one and Aladdin's look off-model and cheap. I don't mind it too much though. It's not that bad and it's the movie inside that really matters.
Disney must think France is more sophisticated than the US because France gets that cool looking white cover and the cool looking Tarzan CE.
Sorry, guys, my internet's been down the past few days (you can imagine my extreme boredom). Anywho, even though I've already been familiar with the UK cover version, I still quite like our cover since I always loved the UK's. The green border realls gives it a nice touch, as many have said. So I guess this means the end of the Masterpiece Editions, then? I guess we'll know for sure once Lilo rolls around since that for sure can't be called an Anniversary Edition.
I really like the disc art for Lilo & Stitch. It makes me want to pack my things and go to Hawaii for the summer (though it's still winter right now...).
The cover's actually nice too... except the surfing David on top of the banner. I'm guessing the artist just rally wanted to draw waves and felt the only person who could be riding it was him? Does Nani surf?
I always felt that a cool Lilo and Stitch cover would be to have the top half be a headshot of Lilo against a Hawaiian background, the film's logo in the middle, and a headshot of Stitch against an intergalactic background. Their heads can be at opposite sides (like Lilo's on the top left and Stitch's on the bottom right), and have some minor characters in the background of each part (David and Nani behind Lilo, Jumba and Pleakley behind Stitch).
