its.......intersting.Not that I dont like it but why Kermits chest?
its an interesting concept. Maybe S2 will have miss Piggy, and S3 have Gonzo or someone. I like the idea.
That would be cool! It's not quite what I expected for the cover art, but I like it! Very classy while remaining Muppet-esque, and I love that Muppets logo. The disc art is awesome.

James- good question. It isn't like Disney to not put their name on there.

Do we really know what Miss Piggy's chest looks like? :o It's quite a clever idea in theory but I don't know how identifiable Gonzo, Fozzy, etc., are without the head. Then again pink, furry blue, and furry dark orange covers could work, I suppose. But I'd think they might want to go with some catchier to the eye somehow?

I'm curious why they didn't put kermit on the disk art.. understanding he's on the cover .... which I'm hoping is not the final idea..because.. that's.. just.. well.. ewwww. If they are going to put kermit on the cover, put all of him on the cover.. or put him on the disk art...

LOL!!!!LOL!!!!!LMAO!!! When I read this, I couldnt help laughing out loud. My family looked at me like I was stupid.

Anyway....... I think that they can manage with the diffrent covers. Maybe each one doesnt have to have their chests? Maybe their most identifiable things.

 too funny! For future releases, I was thinking more of something that suggests the character more than a standard chest shot. For Miss Piggy, for example, the cover could be a subtle pink with golden locks down the sides and maybe some beads across the bottom... so long as it looked more Piggy than girly. Similar things could be done for all the main characters.

Muppets Tonight was live-action and basically an updated version of the Muppet show.
Thanks for answering my question :) and also, how many seasons were there of both of those shows and the original Muppet Show?
And, how funny are those custom made Miss Piggy cover arts!

Thanks for the info! :) But I didn't think that the Muppet Babies had that many seasons! I would've thought that The Muppet Show had had more than any of the other shows!

Although for Muppets Tonight it was a mid season replacement one year and cancelled before completion of the second season so it only had one years worth of episodes.

I think Pepe the Prawn was bad luck

Who did Pepe the King Prawn play in The Wonderful World of Disney's latest movie The Muppet's Wizard Of Oz? Was it Toto?
And was he only created in the TV show Muppet's Tonight?

Rock on! I grew up on these guys and I can't wait for this set.

Anyone here remember the Jim Henson hour? Man, I loved that white lion and the episode they took a look behind the scenes!

I seem to recall Season 2 was originally scheduled for release this summer...no idea why it was pushed back or when it will be released. Disappointing. I own all the Time-Life DVD releases but it's far from a complete collection of the show. The Disney release of the 1st season has good extras and includes entire episodes, including segments shown in the UK but never before aired here in the States. Season two cannot arrive quickly enough for me (or my wife, or my daughter).
