W :o W again!!! ANOTHER tie. Regardless of the actual winner, I think it can be said of both these films that they earned their top spots (at least in round 3).

Survivor tradition gives more votes to those who participate in tie-breakers, extensions, etc. Therefore, those members who voted in both the original round and the extension had their second vote counted twice (for a maximum of three votes to a person). Everyone else's vote counted once.

Therefore, if my calculations are correct, then Pollyanna is the Live-Action Disney Survivor!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean leaves, with a vote of 28-25.

Congratulations to the champion! Come in and leave your congrats if you wish, and stay tuned for the Live Reunion thread in the coming days!

That's how we've broken 2-way, double ties in the past.

This is NOT fair. Pollyanna is a boring film, while POTC rules. I DEMAND ANOTHER ROUND OF VOTING!!!!

Please explain "boring" to me. Does a movie need to have constant action and swordfights in order to win acclaim?

I'm not sure what isn't fair. The movie you voted for didn't win (but the movie that just as many people did vote for did win)? That a movie that you find to be boring won? That there isn't another round to pave the way for even more posts from you? I'm just not sure I understand. But anyways, demand all you want, but rules are rules and the call stands. :)

SDM - I dont think it mattered, if the former method had been used I am pretty sure it would not have been that close. POTC received a lot of votes from those who hadnt played the game a lot.

As for Polyanna, while it was not #1 on my list it is in my top 5. Really a fantastic movie about what life is about with what I consider to be Haley Mills finest acting performance. I really like Pirates too as escapism, but as far as depth and providing meaning there simply isnt any.

Okay people, the demand another recount thing was a joke. I watched Pollyanna and fell asleep mainly because... well, I'm a guy and it's a girl movie, kinda the same perogative for POTC just reversed.

BTW, I am REALLY getting sick of these 'JM only posts for post count' cracks. I'm a teenager, on a forum surrounded by adults, so stop expecting me to post the same quality as you guys, because it's starting to tick me off.
Cheers,

Although Pollyanna isn't my favorite live action Disney film (that would go to The Parent Trap remake), it's still one of my favorites, so I'm glad it won. I find it to be a very underrated film. Obviously by this Survivor game, it's pretty well known amongst Disney fans, but the general public doesn't seem to know much about it. I wouldn't have minded if Pirates had won, though, because it's also an excellent film.

I am glad Pollyanna won. It is one of the best Disney films ever made. I should know I have 2 VHS's of it, and the Vault Disney DVD. I love that movie so much. I mean Jane Wyman, Richard Egan, Nancy Olson, Agnes Moorehead, Adolph Menuu, Kevin Corcoran, and Haley Mills in a movie. What more can you want. This is a great film that has been loved by all for generations, when Pirates Of The Carribean has been long forgotten, people will still remember Pollyanna. Pollyanna was made in 1960, and it is still one of the most talked about Disney movies ever made.

I've never even seen Pollyanna or POTC so my vote just went to Pollyanna since I loved Hayley Mills in Parent Trap.

I think Bedknobs & Broomsticks is the best live action film. But only if you watch the non-edited version on the special edition DVD. The edited version pales in comparison to the non-edited.

This game ended a while ago. Please don't try to bump your post counts by posting to it with a vote. (The late votes have been removed.) Thanks.
