H K R are my initials so I chose to use them as my nickname here. Now I regret it. I would like to have a better nickname, but I don't want to re-register.
Edit: Luke changed my name to Cressida as I wanted. I'm a huge Shakespeare lover and Cressida is from his play Troilus and Cressida. In that play Cressida is a young and beautiful Trojan woman.

With a DVD collection exceeding 1,600 titles and a CD collection of over 2500 titles, I was told by my kids and grandkids that I was a regular "junkie" for movies and music. So in the music groups I am registered as "VinylJunkie" and in my movie groups like here and DVD Easter Eggs I use the name "DVDJunkie".
Not very complicated, just as simple as that.
By the way, I just absolutely enjoy this site. Makes for good reading most of the time. Sometimes I am enjoying it so much I forget to post a reply where i feel that I should. Not to worry, I am always around and like a good "grandpa" I watch over all my kids.

Sunset Girl
*BUMP!*
I'm usually Sunset Girl for a couple of reasons:
Oddly enough, I don't ever want to be confused for a guy. Probably because I really enjoy being a girl, LOL!
I've been working on and off on on an original story with my own characters. I keep changing the title, but it's currently entitled "Amber Sunset." The main character is Amber, AKA Sunset Girl. Her sister(?) is Amethyst, AKA Twilight Girl. Here's a gif file of them I made:
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... amgifs.gif">
Aw, aren't they cute?
Here's a little animated avatar of Amber I created that I occasionally use:
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... rblinx.gif">
Unfortunately, I haven't worked on it quickly enough. I've had these characters in my head for like eight years now! And now all this red-headed shoujo-type stuff is popular. I'm simultaneously happy and annoyed with Disney's W.i.t.c.h. because of this. I swear, they stole the ideas right out of my head, man! And if I ever get this out, I'm sure I'll be accused of copying them.

Haha, yknow... someone on this forum PMed me once with the same assumption. XDSunset Girl wrote:Since you're an anime fan, I always assumed that you were a fan of Key the Metal Idol!Key wrote:^-^
I have no idea why I decided on "Key." Maybe I was listening to "Key of the Twilight" from the .hack//SIGN OST or something.
Oddly enough, I've never even seen Key the Metal Idol. I'm more a manga reader--I don't watch much anime (amazingly)!
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I haven't seen that one, either, but I remember being aware of the title during my early days of anime fandom. I always wanted to see it but didn't want to spend $30 on a VHS at the time. I'm sure it's out on DVD now, and may be worth looking into.Key wrote:Oddly enough, I've never even seen Key the Metal Idol. I'm more a manga reader--I don't watch much anime (amazingly)!
When it comes to choosing either anime or manga, I guess it depends on the particular title. For example, Video Girl Ai is my all-time favorite manga, but I didn't care much for the anime. And I love how the artwork and story are more detailed in the manga version of Fushigi Yuugi than the anime, but I still love the anime (I just don't have many of the books yet). On the other hand, I have a hard time getting into the Sailor Moon manga, but I still love the anime.
But that's just me.
RJKD - that's our initials...even though i'm the only one ("K") posting...
but i just stuck to that for everything associated online.

i'll admit i don't really like when people use "RJKD" on the forum to get my attention!
but.... i've gotten used to it!
so its okay.

Little Red Henski is a character that appeared in one of the Alice Comedys.Sunset Girl wrote:I haven't seen that one, either, but I remember being aware of the title during my early days of anime fandom. I've seen some of Key. It's a pretty cool updated twist on the old Pinocchio story. I also prefer the Sailor Moon anime to the manga. I also can't stand the English Sailor Moon dub.

I'm almost ashamed to admit I feel an attachment to the DiC version of the dub, but it's what got me started in anime. But as for the later Cloverway episodes, they are so bad that I can't even stand to watch them like that. I always turn on the Japanese voices and the English subs when I watch 'em!Little Red Henski wrote:I also prefer the Sailor Moon anime to the manga. I also can't stand the English Sailor Moon dub.
