I went into it thinking it would be a lot of post-9/11 faux patriotism. While there were elements of that, I actually really enjoyed it.

When you go into a Bruckheimer film, you kind of have to expect a certain quality. As long as your are willing to check your brain in at the box office, you usually get a fun ride with some great actors exploring their "inner ham".

National Treasure is no exception. Although I think there was at least one line in there that tried to justify the Iraq invasion, I still found myself having a load of fun. However, like most Bruckheimer films, it could probably have been about 1/2 an hour shorter.

Good but not great. It should have taken them a little longer than 20 seconds to figure out every damn clue!

If you like this kind of stories and want a GREAT one, read "The DaVinci Code" or "Angels and Demons"

It was no Pirates of the Carribean but still very good. I loved Nicolus Cage's character's friend.

It was watchable. Nicholas Cage is a great actor; he has the ability to make dumb action movies palatable, which he demonstrated here, but not to the extent of Gone in 60 Seconds. I thought the plot was outrageous, and a lot of the history/dialouge was pretty trite. It tried to sound smart, the key word being TRIED. The supporting players were simply not up to snuff. I'm not a Bruckheimer fan, and never will be. I'm one of the few people who wasn't sold on 2003's Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
