Finally managed to pick up the excellent The Last Samurai at Costco for $18.99.

My American Graffiti Drive-In Double Feature disc from Costco (which I listed in my last post in this thread) didn't play well, and got very blocky and skipped around right at the end of the movie. I returned it and got another one, and had the same problem. So for now, I'm holding off. I'll try getting it again later in the year at another store.

At Costco I pick-up The Simpson Third and Fourth Season yesterday!!!
I saved $10.00 off The Fourth Season because I bought the Third Season.
I saw most of the episodes and liked the DVD's very, very much.
The Simpsons is the show viewers are not watching!!! :D

I also bought The Simpsons First Season at Columbia House and I'm planning on getting The Second Season next.

Mickey Mouse Pal - hmmm your a viewer and you are watching. I am a viewer and I am watching(along with my wife). So your blanket statement can't be correct. Some viewers are watching. Although I must admit I love watching them on DVDs without the commercials way better.

All I'm saying is that not everyone is watching it because it's not number one show in America but it is the number one show on Sundays on the FOX network.
I just want more viewers to keep their interest in The Simpsons.
The Simpsosn DVD's are great!!!! :D

MMP - I really don't see any need for the show to go on. It is certainly not in its prime anymore, although its prime did last amazingly long(in my opinion Season 3-10). Thus, yes the DVDs are great and will be for some time.

Although, it is still one of the best shows on TV, which says more about the total lack of quality on other shows than the current quality of the Simpsons.

Exactly! It's way better than Who wants to Marry my Dad, or Good Morning Miami. I could easily see the Simpsons slot being replaced by Futurama or King of the Hill or Family Guy (all deserving shows to carry the torch), not that Fox'll want to lose the show that put it on the map.

I'm getting Snow White (Finally! :D ) this Thursday!!!!!! :D :D :pink:  For only 50$ CAN total! (sarcasm, even though it's an OK deal). Also, I'll be picking up Simpsons 4, SCTV, Kids in the Hall 1, and Freaks and Geeks tomorrow with my report card paybacks. At long last I'll have some money!!!

Well, I just go back from a trip and went a little crazy with the DVDs, but most of them were in bargain bins!

Just before I went away, I bought:
- Big Fish
- Cherry Falls (from a bargain bin - less than $10 AU)

From the Bargain Bins I purchased:
- The Street Fighter's Last Revenge
- Jail Bait
- Bride of the Monster
- The Phantom of the Opera (1940s Universal version)
- Pinocchio (Original OOP edition. Yes, it was in a bargain bin. Yes, it is legit as it was from a major store. But more importantly, yes I already have the Restored version, but I am a mad collector person).

I also got:
- Spider-man: The New Animated Series - The Complete First Season

Now I just have to find time to watch them all!

Wow! That's great luck! You mean its not a bootleg or anything? If so, I feel bad for the poor seller who could've gotten more for it!

EDIT: Oops, forgot to say I recently got Brother Bear on DVD last week. It's a great movie. Still didn't watch the extras though.

I can't remember exactly when, but I recently picked up Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me at Target after finally finding them in keep cases instead of snapper cases for cheap ($9.44 a piece). I also received my [EXTREMELY nerdy, I know] copy of the original 1998 CBS Special AFI's 100 Years, 100 Movies which I ordered shortly before discovering that there is a much better 10-part version of the special on an OOP DVD that seems impossible to find.

My doorstep yielded the following this morning:
- Undead: an Aussie horror film made last year, has only just out to buy this week. Sort of a cross between a Romero zombie film, with heavy doses of OTT humour thrown in. One of the most comprehensive single-disc sets I've ever seen, particularly for a local film.

- Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (Limited Edition Tin). I'm a weak person, but I didn't have a copy of H5. Comes in a tin, with booklet. It is the Anchor Bay release of a few years back, but Aussie distributors have a limited supply of them now.

- Atlantis: The Lost Empire - damn CD Wow are fast. This is the "shampoo bottle" version mentioned here. Very cool, indeed. Yes, it was a bit excessive buying this copy, but who cares? It looks good on the shelf :P
