For the NES: Ducktales (and for Gameboy), Chip n Dale and The Little Mermaid were great games; I remember my face when I saw Ursula in her last form :jawdrop: . For me it was the first time a boss in a game filled the entire screen.

In SNES Aladdin was a really good game (and I did finish it), The Lion King was too hard and didn't like it that much.

Mickey Mouse Magical Quest was AWESOME!!!

Yeah, I remeber alot of the Disney games as a kid. The best ones I played was Aladdin and the Lion King on SNES, Chip n Dale (i don't remember if it was SNES or NES), the Douk Tales game on my computer and Mickey Mouse Magical Quest on SNES.

The game I have most memories about must be the Duck Tales game. I remember me and my friends sitting around the computer trying to fly Launchpad's fly to get access to the levels, and when Huey, Duey an Luey was in the jungle... Ah, good times!

Aladdin is one of those games that you can just pop in for a half hour of exhilaration. My favorite levels are the Genie's Lamp and Jafar's Palace. For some reason, the escape from the Cave of Wonders on the magic carpet took me many tries when I first played the game. Now, it's almost a cakewalk. Maybe my reflexes and memory have gotten better. It's a really easy game overall, but it's charming, and the red gem challenge adds some difficulty.

A couple of more games

Post by ValenciaJoe »

In addition to the games listed, you can add these:

Dreamcast - Toy Story

Sega Game Gear - there is a Mickey Mouse game that is similar to the current GameBoy Advance Mickey Mouse game involving a dark castle... cannot remember the title.

GameCube - Tarzan

PSOne - I cannot recall if this is on your list, but there was a Chip and Dale driving game involving the Magic Kingdom. This game was eventually ported over to other systems.

Plus... it is incorrect to include the Army Men series of games in your list. I do not believe they are Disney-related, or Disney-endorsed.

The text in the screenshots are in Japanese though.

The screenshots are pretty good for a Game Boy advance. :)

There is a picture of The Genie from Aladdin and Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

IGN also has some high resolution of Kingdom Hearts II at:

I like the first one showing Mulan. :) The lighting effects in some other screenshots are really cool. Hercules and Megara look like 3D cartoons.
Hey, thanks for the links! :D THey look really really cool! Now I definitely must get Kingdom Hearts I and since Mulan is in II, I must get II!!!!! Gahh, I don't even have a Playstation2! I think I'll need one of them too!

This thread made me finally register after lurking for a month or so :)

When I was but a wee lad and these games were all the rage I was still in the single digits age wise, and I bought stuff with a $1 a week allowance. Needless to say videogames came but twice a year, Christmas and Birthday.

I only owned DuckTales for the GameBoy and boy was that game sweet. So hard for a 6 year old, too. I used to play it over and over again and I think I might have beaten it. Yes, I remember I did. It just had that screen over and over of all the money exploding around, it was awesome.

I played a bit of the Aladdin came on SNES and loved it. Speaking of which my freshman year in the dorms one of my buddies busted out his SNES. A friend of my found his Aladdin cartridge and beat the game in 20 MINUTES! My jaws dropped. He smoked the flying carpet stage which is impossible. Funny part was he hadn't played the game since he was 10 or so, it was just so ingrained in his memory. Ahh, I miss the 16-bit gaming days :)

I also rented Lion King and I don't remember much as I was 10 or so but I do remember it have some damned impressive graphics and an awesome soundtrack. That's probably one of my favorite parts about the film is Hans Zimmer's soundtrack, quite haunting. But I digress....
