It looks like Donald will be a main character in this series instead of being shoved off to the Navy. Although I do wonder if they could still get Launchpad into the series, by having him be a supporting character. And it also looks like Webby will be returning which will make a lot of people happy.

If you know what I know, I tend to doubt that Launchpad won't be in the show. I've been lucky to see and hear some things I can't talk about too much, and I'm excited for what's to come!

Wasn't this supposed to be CG?
Unfortunately, yes. I assumed it was just concept art.
That was just a rumor and never confirmed by Disney.

You know, I hear people say that but that Donald looks different than the one in the modern Mickey Mouse shorts. I feel the art style is bit different from what I've seen.

It depends. In the old DuckTales show, Donald's appearances were underwhelming and I was glad he wasn't a part of the main cast. Donald's only funny when he's blowing up, and he can't really do that with Scrooge.
Listening to most often lately:

Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

I thought the same when I saw the image. It looks as if it was taken from a comic strip. DuckTales was one of my favourite cartoons when I was a child, so I'm excited about this new series. But I wonder why Disney has decided to revive series based on their animated films/characters right now with this one, The Lion Guard, and the Tangled and Big Hero 6 ones. The last of that kind of program to be aired was probably The Emperor's New School or Lilo & Stitch: The Series almost 10 years ago.

If you pay any attention to the social media response to DuckTales, especially on Facebook, you might not wonder as much.

^Do you mean that DuckTales has become popular again after Disney released the DuckTales Remastered game or that it hasn't lost its popularity in all these years?

Disney's official DuckTales page on Facebook has over 2 million followers. That's more than most of their modern Disney Channel and Disney XD pages have. Also, while there is not a lot of merchandise, everything I have heard has indicated that the T-Shirts do very well. Of course there are the various call backs to the show from fans on YouTube or such. The point is, DuckTales shows a lot of promise and Disney has decided to do something about it. Now if only they'd put out the last 25 episodes of the original show on DVD...

Wow! I’m glad DuckTales is so popular! Then it's no wonder that they have decided to make a new DuckTales TV-series, like you said. About the unreleased episodes of the original show, maybe they’ll release them when the new show premieres to tie-in with it.
Whenever I go to the parks, I see so many parents and 20-30 somethings in DuckTales shirts, that I make a game to myself of comparing the ratio to how many other Disney Afternoon tees I see in comparison.
It's not even close. This show is still remembered, and remembered well.
Plus, the reboot's appeal expands far beyond nostalgia. Donald Duck and his immediate relatives rival the most popular Marvel and DC superheroes in comic book popularity, particularly in Europe. The show is super easy to bring to audiences worldwide, especially in comparison to other recent Disney cartoons that have huge adult fanbases but could be harder to translate and market in other countries (I'm thinking of Gravity Falls here). There is also a countless number of comic book stories out there that a new DuckTales could take advantage of. It's a pretty fantastic idea.
Between this and the Hey Arnold finale movie that Nickelodeon is making, 2017 is going to be a great year for 90s cartoon fans (now, if only Cartoon Network would follow suit without bastardizing Powerpuff Girls...)
