Actually, it wasn't Sony's fault for crushing Winnie the Pooh. It's technically Disney's fault, because they released Pooh at the same time and day as Harry Potter 7 Part 2.
Good point. But I'll forgive Harry Potter.

Am I the only one who thinks Disney doomed Winnie the Pooh themselves, not because of release date, but by targeting it exclusively at toddlers in the past decade? I'm a Winnie the Pooh fan, but even I wasn't particularly fond of the Piglet and Heffalump Movies, not to mention the recent preschool shows involving the character. Even the animators said they thought it was a stupid idea to even make the film in the first place, because of how anybody over five years old would consider themselves too old for it (though kudos to the filmmakers for making a witty and charming picture, anyway).

I agree, as I'm pretty sure the general public sees Winnie the Pooh as toddler material, no doubt the marketing endorses that. But heck, even back when I was a kid, before Disney went marketing crazy with the characters, most people thought of Pooh on the same level as nursery rhymes. One of my friends actually did animation for The Tigger Movie, and as far as I know, he still hasn't bothered watching the film. I'm one of the biggest Disney fans I know (at least in RL), especially of the hand-drawn material, and for the life of me I haven't had the interest to sit down and watch the new film. :|

Found this on Frozen IMDB board claiming to be one of WDAS 2016 films. Real or Fake?
I've found absolutely nothing about it on the rest of the internet. It's probably a fake.
That's true. They didn't post a source.

Yeah, definitely fake. Disney would have definitely announced this project, if it was set for release next year. Although, thinking about it, it's kind of surprising they didn't make a Figment animated series during the attraction's hey-day in the 1980s. It would act as both promotion for Epcot, while also giving this character more exposure than to simply those who visited the park.

Maybeeeee they're making a new short or attraction for Figment in EPCOT? ? It's due time, really.

That was pleasantly unexpected. Finally, we get some titles. I was tired of calling everything "untitled".

Now THIS is what i'm talking about. WDAS like it's rivals now has a slate of films over the next 5 years to work with! Hope they stick with these films & don't change things over the years.

Those all sound fairly interesting and unique. I hope at least one is a musical.

Unless something changes, Moana is supposed to be a musical.

Each of these films are so different from each other:

Zootopia: Animal comedy

Giants: Fairy-Tale based

Moana: Paperman-esque "Hopefully"

Dean Wellin's Teenage Space-race film: Original

To me Zootopia & Giants are the "safe" films while Moana & DW's films are more risk takers.

Disney had Blue Sky Disney remove the article. No surprise there. It's silly though since many other sites have already reproduced the story.

Does anyone here understand Honor Hunter's relationship with Disney? He always knows everything, and he says things like "I've been given permission..." etc, and yet they make him take it down. If he has such a good relationship with Disney, why would he jeopardize it by posting something he isn't allowed?
