Hey guys, I saw "Secret of the Wings" on Saturday and really enjoyed it!!!! I think its the best Tink film so far! They really are getting better each year (including Pixie Hollow Games in that timeline.......)

I went and saw it at the El Capitan in Hollywood :) My friends and I all went in our fairy costumes. Sadly, Terence was only on screen in this film for 5 seconds.... :( haha

Thanks Poody!

I have a question for you :)

Do the other fairies like Vidia appear frequently in the film? Or is there screen time the same as Terrence?
And what did you make of Lucy Hale as Peri? (I'm hoping she'll be great considering i'm a huge fan of Pretty Littler Liars)

No, I know you didn't say it was a bad film, I am just acknowledging that we have had 2 that thought it was ok (not the best out of all of them so far) and one who did. That was all. Just an observation!

Is there a confirmed UK release yet?

They're all there, they at least have some lines :lol still not all that important.

Oh, I thought it was cool that Jodi Benson voices one of the random faires!

No way !!! Who does Jodi voice ? Though I think I remember hearing that Ariel was supposed to have a cameo in one of the films, but it was scrapped ..... maybe she did this instead?

Ah thank you for that Sotiris, I swear I couldn't see it on IMDB when I was on there last!

Oh, she plays a "healing fairy." My friend noticed her name in the credits. :)

Awww so just a little cameo then ? Wonder why she did it ..... Disney are always popping her into things; must be one of the most versatile Princess voices

She's indeed a very good voice actress and singer but I lost all respect for her as a person when I learned she's homophobic.

Let's not derail the thread ....

Those are wonderful shots Poody! Too used to seeing you as Flynn, barely recognised you!

Thanks! :D Here's one more that I thought was pretty funny....

So yeah, there are quite a few inconsistencies with this film and the other Tink films...... but that's pretty much a given, especially with so many different groups working on each film...

I've only seen the first Tinker Bell film.

The problem with the Disney Fairies franchise is, aside from not inviting anyone other than the intended demographic, the other fairies are practically indistinguishable from the other, in terms of personalities. Cartoonist Pete Emslie explained it better on his blog some time ago, but I just get the feeling that Disney came up with stuff without putting much thought or "heart" into it.

When first announced, Tinker Bell was initially going to be voiced by Brittany Murphy. Even so, it doesn't really fit the character now that she has a voice. Part of the charm of the character was her ability to express herself without any actually dialogue. That's a type of storytelling skill that sadly seems to be too clever for cartoons these days.

So, you can't tell Vidia, Clank, Fawn and Terrence apart?

Well, maybe 'Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue' would change your mind...

You tell 'em Old Fish Tale.... Like I said, I think the films keep getting better. I find the first one a little boring. I prefer these films types of storytelling over most of the Pixar films....

Agreed. I thought that one was particularly well done. I watched the first one expecting to HATE it and I really enjoyed it. I have found that these films have been getting progressively better with each one.

And this is from a self-professed sequel hater (which is why I was expecting to hate the first one so much).

Is there a reason this film is getting a theatrical albeit likely limited release in the UK? There was a trailer for it playing when I was waiting in the ticket queue the other day, I thought it was for the DVD/Blu-Ray release but it said "Coming Soon to Cinemas" and I was like huh!?

Did any of the previous Tinkerbell films receive theatrical releases in the UK? I certainly never seen any advertisements for the previous releases in cinemas
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel
