Defintely Cinderella. I feel like she's the face of the Disney princesses. Furthermore, isn't Cinderella the most popular fairy tale? And just because she didn't kick anyone's butt doesn't mean she isn't worthy of leading the pack.
Some people don't really care for Snow White and Aurora. A lot of people I know haven't even seen Sleeping Beauty, while people I know find Snow White the movie boring and Snow White the princess lacking common sense. I think with Jasmine, it's either you love her or hate her. Belle and Ariel are pretty popular, but they are newer than the older three, so they just stay second-in-command. A lot of people I know have said that Pocahontas is boney and looks like a man. Mulan is not a princess. Tiana and Rapunzel are too new.
Does the Disney Princess franchise have a "leader"

Bingo. One of the reasons that the Princess franchise just isn't that good: It adds absolutely nothing to the characters stories, and a prime opportunity to actually create a Disney crossover is ignored seeing as the princesses aren't even allowed to acknowledge one another in those group shots.KACENAID wrote:This is what I thought when I first read this thread. There are no leaders because there's nothing to lead. They're not fighting crime (although some people in this thread wish they were) or fighting for a cause or working together towards a common goal. They're just grouped together for merchandising etc and should otherwise be taken independently.FigmentJedi wrote:There are no leaders.

Honestly, I think most of the general public (as opposed to non-hardcore Disney fans like us) think of Cinderella first and foremost, and most likely as the natural leader if the question ever came to pass. Why? Because the very character herself is an iconic representation of the whole fairy tale genre. I mean, anytime you hear of a real-life rags-to-riches story, it's often compared to Cinderella. Not Snow White's story, not Aurora's, but Cinderella's.

She went for the cold Prince Charming over a humble yet kind jam-maker. Luckily Roald Dahl rectified this...Disney Duster wrote:WTF? In what way does Cinderella prove herself to be a snob?
