I would personally LOVE LOVE LOVE if they used that older PE concept cover for this release. I always liked it better than what we got for the PE anyway.

Even when the Platinum Edition DVD was still a work in progress and they showed us both this artwork and the final one used for the DVD, I liked this one better and I am so pleased to see it will finally be used for the Blu-ray. It's so much better than the old one. For one thing, the characters are on-model (I know some of you are maybe tired of hearing this, but this is one quality I really appreciate on a cover, lol :P :)) )

Finally. A wholly decent cover. I will gladly get behind this artwork. The characters are on model (although to get really picky Cruella could still use a bit of work so she doesn't feel quite as clip-arty), there isn't some stupid sideways title, and even the background is reminiscent of the production backgrounds! A roun of applause, Disney. Can't wait for this release.

Not only did the re-use an old cover, it's an old cover with a very, very, very, very, very old clipart of Cruella, too. Ugh.

And being on-model is nothing to be ashamed of talking about, it should be tried to be done in every animated frame and every piece of Disney art unless purposely going for a different style/interpretation!

So what if it's an old cover as long as it's GOOD. If all they can come up with these days is crap, then I'll take a solid oldie any day.

Being good and being new are both important.

I feel they owe us both good and new equally whenever they make a new release.

I wasnt on this forum when this cover art was last seen, and it looks every bit as "new" to me as the Cinderella DE. Even with Cruella's old clipart, she at least fits in nicely.

Looks to me like the exact same special features as the platinum dvd...

But: what about the galleries? what about the info tracks that play during the film? (for family, for fans)

I actually really like the cover; I like how the background is authentic to the film and not the shiny/sceptic clipart we normally get.

Um.... victurtle.... you do realize the images of Pongo and Perdita on the menu are from the cover of the platinum release, right?

Haha, true... Having left them out of the menus would have looked 100 times better, than them being two giant heads peaking through the asphalt...

- tsk - Cruella's hair is back to front. Static menus and reversed clipart...and to think that only 2 years ago Lumiere was telling me the weather :(.
