It'd look better without that entire bottom right segment of Jafar and the cave. If that were remvoed and the Aladdin carpet piece was centered and made focal, the cover would look 100 times better. But its not bad and Im sure its not final either.

Oh my god, I can't believe I'm hearing this. You are all bickering about a stupid cover art that isn't even final yet  Remember! The dvd should be about the movie itself and not all the things around it like extras and covers and all the other stuff. Just remember that!

^^ yeah, but it's fun to discuss cover art! It's also important, because if someone is at the video store looking to buy a DVD, they aren't going to go with one with crappy cover art (I'm talking NORMAL people here, not DVD freaks like us). So, strange as it may seem, cover art is very important. By the way, I like it!

Well then I guess we don't need this forum if discussing cover art and DVD specs is all very superfluous, right? :P ;)

Gee, what forum have you been going to all this time?

I think the entire focus of DVD releases until the first review is posted is:
a) what the cover looks like
b) IS THERE AN INSERT???!?!?!?!?

We can judge little from a picture this little, but it seems pretty good (though Jafar and the Cave of Wonders seem pasted from the old VHS cover). Anyway, we know it will change by October (it may be touched up like "Lion King" or changed completely like "Sleeping Beauty").
I can't wait to see the fancy Collector's Edition box set. I think it will be similar to the coverart created by Chernabog.

I think they should zoom in on Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet flying through the air.

Perhaps we should start another thread?

Yes, Aladdin is a great art cover.
It looks real and disney should keep the art work.
It's the best one Disney ever made.

I don't know about that Alice in Wonderland was pretty colorful.

I think it looks a little too much like a VHS cover, but I don't dislike it. It could just use a few minor changes to make it look more majestic. I like the blue though. I hear Aladdin, and I think blue and red.

Actually though, I just looked at the Aladdin coverart next to all three platinium dvds, and this Aladdin cover does seem to go pretty good with the others (for overall design).

Will the Collector's edition Box be like THE LION KING?
The book, the sketches?
Thanks!

I don't know why users have continually overlooked this, but details concerning the Aladdin Box Set were revealed in the original press release.

It lists the box set features right there.

23% Genie rule? What's that?
