Or Cranium Command. The Inside Out would provide a good excuse to revive Wonders of Life.estefan wrote:That kind of reminds me of the Disney short "Reason and Emotion", what with the characters in the brain being spectators to the world outside.

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)
Source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/behind ... ter-590228Pixar Animation Studios' director Pete Docter — who won an Oscar for Up — said his next film, Inside Out, is “one of the most challenging stories I’ve ever had to put together.” Inside Out, slated for release in 2015, involves a story that takes place inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl, and emotions such as anger, sadness, disgust and joy are the main characters.
Talking with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday at CG convention Siggraph, Docter said the film required creating two simultaneous stories — what is happening to the girl and what is happening inside her mind. “One story is hard enough,” he said. “This is two stories that need to talk to each other.” Describing the animation, he said, “The characters are created with this energy because we are trying to represent what emotions would look like. They are made up of particles that actually move. Instead of being skin and solid, it is a massive collection of energy."
“It’s a lot of fun and really takes advantage of what animation can do,” he said of the film, planned for a summer 2015 release.

I think as far as Pixar goes I'm looking forward to this the most. The 2014 movie is the Good Dinosaur right? I kinda wish they would swap places. Then again I could change my mind once we hear more on that. I do like dinos, but story wise this probably has more potential.

Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader and Phyllis Smith will be voicing some of the emotions who will be the stars of the film.

Amy Poehler is hilarious.

That sure is a lot of NBC stars. I'm not too crazy about Amy Poehler. I mean, I love her in parks and rec and her SNL run, but as a voice actor I'm not so sure. She voiced a the lead in that show the mighty B, and I just didn't think her voice lent itself well to animation.

Lasseter returned to the stage to introduce director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera to talk about their upcoming film “Inside Out.” “This film is one of the most unique films I have ever been associated with. This is a magical, wonderful, original film. Wait til you see it,” said Lasseter. “Inside Out” stars Riley, a young girl who moves to San Francisco, uprooting her her school life. But the real stars of the film are the emotions inside Riley’s head, with the cast announced: Anger – Lewis Black, Disgust – Mindy Kaling, Fear – Bill Hader, Joy – most important emotion – Amy Poehler, Sadness – Phyllis Smith. The emotions appear to be made out of energy particles, representing what emotions feel like, a new technology for Pixar. Hader and Smith took the stage to ham it up.
A clip from “Inside Out” reveals the “Cranium Command” style headquarters where the emotions monitor Riley’s actions and store her memories. Scenes will take place in long term memory, imagination land (like a theme park), abstract thought, dream production (like a film studio), and the train of thought. Another rough sketch clip showed insane activities not only happening in Riley’s mind but also her parents, with very different emotions running through the heads of her mom and dad.

I think that out of all of the new D23 information we've gotten today, that this film is the most interesting. I love Bill Hader and Amy Poehler (especially the latter), and it seems like a really exciting project (much more interesting than Finding Dory or The Good Dinosaur).

Lewis Black as Anger? Sounds like a stretch to me.

I love Bill Hader and I think Lewis Black will pull off Anger well; Amy Poehler, not so much. Anger is my favorite of the designs, though Sadness and Disgust are pretty good, too.

I just love the creative designs behind the emotions. It just gives them so much character. Plus the fact that there are already three female main characters.
I wonder also if there will even more emotions as characters.

The human is also a little girl. Pixar is fully acknowledging the existence of two genders now
