At every. single. word. you wrote. We are in complete agreement. You're not the first women to join this thread (that's Disney Geek), but I'm glad to see one who isn't condemning other women for the way they dress or behave.

And to lighten things up a bit, this music video with a message I completely agree with. Too bad the fuckers censored the most imporant line. But you can guess it; it rhymes and is not hard to figure out.

Please read my last post on this page:

To that I will add that I never said a word about how Jasmine dresses.

Thanks guys! And ack, sorry Disney Geek! It really WOULD be easier if there was a little 'Male/Female' note by the usernames.... :P

And enigmawing, sorry about your ex-friend. I had a friend like that--she used to pick on my looks all the time to make herself feel better, but when I started to come into my own (and pluck my eyebrows rofl) she started getting meaner until finally I told her to get out of my life.

Can't say I miss her much!

give me names and numbers and i'll conduct the exorcisms(sp?)

or at least punch them in the face.

The one thing about women I'll never understand is the frenemy relationships.

This is still going? Anyway, sorry Goliath but you're still wrong. I didn't do what you're saying and the only way to rebutt it is to say your conclusion is wrong about me, you made a wrong saying about me. That's all I gotta do. Sorry dude, what you said is just is plainly not true. I already rebutted you much mroe before that and you shot back with the same wrong things.

Mooky, you have a point I agree is good...but unfortunately it shouldn't stop them from making Jasmine not quite as scantily clad as that, perhaps her top a little longer or wider, ya know.

i thought blondes were supposed to be the sexyones. :P

nevertheless, for a woman with little influence, sex is power, and if you crack open a history book, they've used it. alot. it may not be a "movement" you agree with, but it is their one asset thats a surefire way to mess with us guys.

No problem. A Male/Female note would come in handy :D

By the way, I'm sorry to hear about that nasty Girl you called a friend. I'm not surprised you don't miss her. I'm sorry to hear what happened between you and your fake friend as well Enigmawing.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'm "just" "wrong"... blah blah blah... Another magnificent response full of rationality, arguments, facts and sources brought to us by the Disney Essence of Disney Duster...

How STUPID he was! He brought it on all by HIMSELF, and to think that he could've dressed RESPECTABLY!"?
Of course I would say the same things about a man! Why should the gender of the person change anything?

Oh, and I don't care for your self-hatred --which is how I define your over-the-top hatred of powerful women who are in charge of their own bodies and minds and your constant confusion of female empowerment with "man bashing" (boo hoo, men have it so hard!). Because being a woman and still wanting to be treated as if 100 years of feminism have not existed, defines self-hatred to me. It's like if I was asking my boss to treat me the same way employees were treated in the 19th century, when they had no rights at all (jpanimation's favorite time).
Jackoleen wrote:* "The Baby Bump"/ "Pregnancy Worship"/ The invisibility of women who cannot have/ don't want children

* The idea that women should only be mothers, who must constantly think of nothing but protecting their children at all costs.
This, however, are two very rare spurts of sense in your otherwise incoherent rambling that I happen to agree with.

Thank you in advance for your reply. Feel free to blast me out of the water. :)

I don't know what 'PT' is and the rest of your questions are invalid because they suppose a view of women which I don't agree with --e.g. I don't believe there's something like 'female chauvinist pigs'. I think that's a name that's made up by men who felt treathened by women demanding equal rights. Your questions are also formulated in too rigid a manner. Like "do you like women who put down men?" If I say "no", does that make your hypotheses valid? No, because I don't share your idea that lies behind the question, i.e. that women who are in control of their own lives "put men down". That's why it's impossible for me to answer your questions. Because you could use them as a shortcut to validate your premises with which I don't agree at all.

So, sexuality, and sexual teasing games, are better than plain honesty?

So, if a man was being sexist towards a woman, and refusing to offer her a job ONLY because she wasn't showing off any T&A, you'd advise her to show off the T&A just so that she could get the job, rather than advising her to say, "Hey, you coward! You KNOW that I'm the right candidate for that job, and you as much SAID so, but you're just not gonna let me have the job because I respect my body, and because I'm not willing to turn you on while I work! Well, I'll fight WITH my clothes ON, thank you! Sexuality is NO substitute for BRAINS!"?
hell no. maybe i wasnt specific. maybe i was talking about the more influential women but the woman would have to have the upper hand and be the one making demands. she takes advantage of the man; not the other way around as you so misread.

What are you in favor of, then? I'm sorry, but I still don't understand what you're trying to say.

Are you saying that influential (rich?) women should take advantage of men, boss them around, etc.? What exactly were you trying to say?

I'm sorry that I don't understand you. Maybe I'm misreading what you're saying?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Thanks :) I'm well over it now, but at the time it was really hard to get over the fact that this person who called herself my friend really was not, and that I had to buck up & get out of that poisonous relationship before things got even worse.

Ajmrowland, the frenemy thing....oh man, you have no idea. It's crazy. Girl-world is a scary place. I don't even know why women do the whole back-biting thing and I am one! I won't bother pretending that I'm not guilty of it myself...I'm not a saint. But after having it done to me enough times, I've learned it's better to just stay away from anyone (female or male) who makes you want to be less than the best version of yourself.

(edit: misspelled some things! XD )

I have learned generally in this case women who gripe and groan about standards/dresscodes etc. are generally ones that not to be vulgar but "can't get any" and are just jealous. Granted same goes with guys as well at times been there done that. But just saying if you were able to flaunt it like they do and get the attention they do I doubt you'd be whining about it.

Staying away from someone who makes you less than who you could be is a good idea! :thumb:

I might regret getting into this, but here I go. I know just what it's like to feel unnatractive, really I do, but you can't hate other Women for being what society deems attractive. I hate Princess Jasmine as well, but it's due to her attitude. You come across as very insecure, which I can relate to entirely (I would rate myself a five out of ten in a pretty picture) but saying how Women shouldn't dress in a certain way because it makes you feel insecure, and supposedly lessens your chances of attracting a Man, isn't an arguement. I also don't see how Goliath ever implied that he wanted to live in a world where Men are subservient to Women. None of this is personal, by the way. I just want to give you an insight.
