I thought someone posted this here on UD somewhere, but I couldn't find it (and I'll really be embarrassed if it was actually in this thread!)

Just a couple of the worst cartoon shows that I can remember...

Da Boom Crew - Just... why?!

Butt-Ugly Martians - It's a complete snore-fest, and the animation is one of the worst that I've seen... well, that was until Fanboy and Chum-Chum.

Goliath: I've seen both the Disney sequel to Hunchback, and the Secret of the Hunchback. The Disney sequel is superior I believe compared to 'Secret' it's not even worthy of a 1 star rating from what I've seen of it.

D'oh! For some reason, I may have only checked the first page. I thought it was older than a few days, and I thought there had either been a full thread, or at least several posts talking about it.

Worst cartoon ever made is such a broad term, especially as animation is abused as cheap children's entertainment so often. I also intentionally skip numerous animated things on account of them looking like they're just orientated at children and nobody else, hence why I have yet to endure the likes of Everyone's Hero and Quest for Camelot; they're disasters waiting to happen, so I see no reason to bother. Having said that, I will list a few duds for the hell of it, excluding cheap cash-in and rip-off products (such as the Thai Beauty and the Beast, various Goodtimes films etc)...

Image
The Will Smith Fish!

Image
The beauty of animation is that characters don't age.

Image
Capitalism, much?

Image
I'll admit that this is more misbegotten than anything else; I feel like it could have been up there with Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin etc had the crew been more guided...

Image
...this misguidedness is less excusable, though It's called executive meddling, and it makes films schizophrenic.

Image
Good, wholesome family entertainment? Well, it's wholesome, but not exactly good...

Image
Eeek!

WILL SMITH FISH!!! IT'S NOT YOUR TIME YET, IT'S NOT YOUR TIME YET!

Anyways, I will join the Digimon bandwagon. For a merchandise driven show, it had a pretty decent story and setup when compared to Pokemon. I liked the stories and characters.

The fact that Shark Tale was nominated for Best Animated Feature and Tangled wasn't makes me weep.

But anyway...

One show that was pretty bad was X-Men Evolution. I kind of liked it and hated it. X-Men in general is one of my favorite superhero entities, but this show was really bad. The fourth/last season was okay, when they had the Apocalypto showdown with everyone vs. Storm, Xavier, Magneto, and Mystique.

Static Shock and the TMNT reboot were awful, too. Same company?

As far as anime, the worst shows I've seen were Hamtaro and Mon Colle Knights. And Medabots. Of course, this is based on the dubbed versions, so it's hard to judge for sure.

Yeah, Digimon was one of my favorite series growing up. I never got into the merchandise aspect of some of these shows, which is the reason that I never loved Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon. Digimon seemed to prioritize story though, and I loved the first season at least. Still occasionally watch it once in a blue moon.

I also felt it had better animation than those other two shows, which…isn’t saying much, but still.

I really need to make a banner with Lilymon. I loved her. :P Too bad they never evolved to mega in the series. *this takes me back*

I dunno. I actually thought it was pretty good. Sure it's not 90's X men but it was good for what it went for.

Well Yu-gi-oh wasn't made for merchandiseing to begin with. That was marketing shit 4Kids pulled out of it ass thanks to Pokemon's success(fact that they skip the first season to get right into the dueling cards arc). Yu-gi-oh was just a SJ series

What's up (literally) with Ronald's hair? Has he just undergone some sort of therapy or had an accident? And I'm sorry, I'd have expected a cake made of cheeseburgers. :P

I like 9. yes it's weird story, but it wasn't hard for me to follow. The animation is good and so is the voicework. I would never call it 'the worst cartoon ever'. If anyone finds something 'cringeworthy' in this movie, can he/she please explain what it is?

The first couple of seasons of Digimon weren't bad. The first couple of movies weren't bad either.

Bump

I must join the Digimon brigade as well.

It's better than Pokemon in more ways than I can arrange into a post right now.

I'll elaborate on Digimon's superiority to Pokemon(and list what I think are the worst cartoons ever) when I'm more mentally prepared

Digimon and Pokemon are both good but Digimon is better in terms of creativity. Compare the transformations between a pokemon(top) and a Digimon(bottom), Digimon go all out and change into shyt that doesn't even make sense sometimes and I love it!

As for the worst cartoon, I'd choose Fan Boy and Chum Chum or Dragon Ball Z Kai

I agree with everyone else. Digimon was my absolute favorite animated series when I was younger. I collected the cards (from the first two seasons) and pretty much watched the show religiously. I still know the theme song (Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions! Change into digital champions to save the digital world!). But seriously, though, my favorite anime show from the late 90s/early 2000s. I've only seen bootleg copies of the series, though, and I have no idea if the series is actually out on DVD. If it is, I would love to know.
