Wait, what do you mean no little kids know or care who Cinderella is...? That's completely untrue...

True! And thank God!
kurtadisneyite wrote:As for the latter, it'll be interesting to see if the last version's huge 4 1/2 minute main menu (including all the 3D elements for coach, etc.) gets re-created!
I actually hope they will do a lot more. The first Platinums got 3D versions of every location, but for Cinderella, wasn't only the coach, pillow, and slipper 3-D? So I want a completely 3-D world this time, like Beauty and the Beast's castle or something with even better CGI.

I have to agree with Duster on this one... Working in Disney World, I can tell you that she is STILL the most popular princess Disney has, especially with little girls. What makes you think none of them know or care who she is?

Yeah, I assumed as well that Cinderella was the most popular of the princess characters. The only other ones I'd think I'd call as iconic are Snow White (for being from the first animated feature) and Ariel (for being a mermaid, and thus distinguishable). Perhaps BK was talking about girls who want to marry real life princes and royals?

Oh jeez, what was the point in changing it at all?

I do have to say that I do think this one is better for a few things. The color purple is at least more regal than pink, and they are utilizing an actual scene from the movie.

The single plus side: They put Walt Disney's instead of just Walt Disney! I'm glad this won't be released in the U.S. because it looks absoultely dreadful and would be completely irrelevant over here.

I'm sorry, but that looks like a really bad custom cover. Oh the shame.

o that cover looks(except for the pink) not really bad...i mean at least it is a in-movie pic and ties in with the royal wedding... if they would leave the text royal edition away, turn the pink into white with gold, it could be something...

I'd say those colours are just over-saturated - that happens a lot in DVD product page pictures. The purplely looking logo is most likely the same pink we saw earlier.

That really is an appallingly lame cover. ALSO IT SPOILS THE ENDING JEEZ.

Except for the border and the logo, I'd say this cover is an improvement, honestly.

Just like practically every cover for The Sword in the Stone and Dumbo as well. ;)

I agree on the basis that the characters are at least drawn and coloured correctly. Still looks like it should have chocolate and pre-made Valentine cards inside though.

I KNOW. And every cover for "Beauty and the Beast" spoils that they dance in fancy clothing. It's so ridiculous.

See, I had the opposite problem! I THOUGHT there would be 101 dalmatians because of the title and all, then I looked at the front cover of the DVD and only saw like forty-some dogs, so I thought "Oh, maybe it's a figure of speech like how the little mermaid isn't really like microscopic," but then I watched the movie and saw THERE REALLY WERE 101 OF THEM. I was so mad I wrote a letter to WDHE saying that Walt would NEVER have made a DVD cover like that.

I think there are a plethora of other DVD covers and Blu Ray covers Walt wouldn't approve of....
