I hate to admit it, but my Disney animation collection is pitiful. I have:
Fantasia (part of Anthology set) Saludos Amigos (original Gold Collection DVD) The Three Caballeros Make Mine Music Melody Time Beauty and the Beast (Diamond Edition Blu-ray) The Lion King (Platinum Edition) Fantasia 2000 (part of Anthology set) The Emperor's New Groove (single-disc) Bolt (single-disc)
But on the Pixar side of things, the only movie I'm missing in DVD format is A Bug's Life, which I would pick up if the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack on Amazon if the price wasn't as high as I feel it should be.
Micheal Eisner was counting his money and he got DIZZNEY!
I pretty much have all the Disney releases via DVD or Bluray since they first started releaseing them on DVD.
I have all the Disney Animated Classics on either DVD or Bluray, I have been upgrading most of them thanks to the $10 off coupons, along with all the Live action and other disney releases up to this point minus some of the preschool disney channel releases some of the Disney Channel Movies, and I also have all the Pixar ones as well.
It's not Disney's greatest, but the tie-in with the Walt Disney quote makes the entire movie. I had to stop myself tearing up at the end, to be honest. If you have any kind of "dream" that you're aspiring to, it's a great film.
Thanx for the input S. Willie , I'll be sure to check it out then
When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool
I started out collecting Disney classics on vhs, but now I've virtually replaced them all with dvd's. I'm not planning on replacing them for blu-ray discs any time soon.

I agree with SWillie! The first time I saw Meet the Robinsons I teared up during the finale song and the Walt quote. I think it is a really touching and inspiring movie. I'm so glad they just re-released it as a combo pack last month, which I had been waiting for. I'll be getting it for my birthday in April!

I have to agree with everyone here, the tie-in to Walt Disney made the movie for me. I would definitely recommend everyone in particular a fan of Disney and/or animation to check out Meet the Robinsons at least once, whilst it may not be everyone's cup of tea, and perhaps may not be able to compete with many other titles in the Walt Disney Animated Canon it's a wholesome movie with a lot of heart, very like-able characters and a wonderful message behind it. Another bonus is that it is miles better than Chicken Little in my opinion

44. Brother Bear
45. Home on the Range
46. Meet the Robinsons
I sold off some of my movies a few years ago when DVD took off and my VCR broke. I haven't replaced them on DVD because the prices were too expensive, so now I'm just waiting for them to pop up on Blu-ray.
As for the ones I never owned, only "Meet the Robinsons" interest me. The other ones can go to hell. They're so boring.
When the 101 Dalmatians Platinum Edition came out I completed my collection of all the animated classics and their sequels. I'm actually kind of happy blurry came along because after all the years it took to get them all on DVD, I found myself without a hobby.lol
I started collecting Disney movies when The Little Mermaid first came out on VHS. My VHS collection was never complete, but I had the majority of them on tape.
When the first wave of Disney DVD's came out I decided that I would buy EVERY Disney film as they were released in that format. I'm really a huge Disney fan and an overall fan of animation/cartoon movies in general.
To date I have bought EVERY (and I do mean EVERY) Animated Disney film on DVD. That includes every 'direct-to-video' animated sequel and every re-release of each animated move! I've also purchased all of the Disney Collector's Tins sets and joined the Disney Movie Club to take advantage of their exclusive dvd's (such as the DuckTales movie).
When blu-ray was announced, I thought early on that I would NOT be purchasing all of these films yet again, but once I saw the beauty of blu I didn't hesitate buying them all again (and can't wait to re-own all of these wonderful films again).
I haven't bothered to count how many actual Disney Dvd's/Blu-rays I own, but its a COMPLETE COLLECTION of them all (however many that is!!).

Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.
SpringHeelJack wrote:I don't feel like looking, but I think I feel safe in saying that I own all the DACs on DVD except for "Bolt" which I found underwhelming but will probably get on Blu-ray if I see it cheap enough someday and "Dinosaur" which DOESN'T COUNT. Also because the Blu-ray release is so craptacular and owning it would necessitate me buying the two-disc DVD to have the special features also.
Once again, yes, "Dinosaur" DOES "count." Sorry that you don't feel it does, but if what counts and doesn't count is based on personal taste, then brother, a lot more of these films don't "count." Anyway...
I have all of them, and have for some time. "Snow White" to "Home On The Range" in DVD and "Chicken Little" and forward on Blu Ray. "Tangled" has been pre-ordered and I'm ready to rock! I'm not sure if I can pull it off, but I wanted to finish my custom DVD/ Blu Ray covers for the WDAC by the time "Tangled" came out. If not by the time, at the very least, not long after.
