The trailer makes this looks like a better movie than Burlesque. I saw an interview with Ashley Tisdale where she says it won't be a musical, I have not "sad face" emoticon that expresses my disappointment. and it's out nest spring? Already? I thought this would be out next summer!

I love the trailer. And Sharpay is my favourite HSM character, so this movie can't go wrong.

I'm glad they dumped 'High Stakes' and stayed with 'Sharpays fabulous adventure', it sounds more lik Sharpay, fabulous, you know.

I do notice a small resemblance with the show 'Hellcats' where she plays a Catholic cheerleader and dates a guy who loves to work with a camera... Maybe just coincidence.

lol idgaf I loved Ashely as Sharpay and this looks fun, I know it's supposed to be New York but it just screams Toronto haha.

Also isn't this the second time Paige from Degrassi and Ashley have done a movie together?

They were together in picture this.

The wikipedia-page says Ryan wil make an appearance... Don't know if it's true, but I would be happy for a cameo.

Which could be a good thing. No "EXCLUSIVE EXTENDED EDITION WITH A BRAND NEW SONG THAT WAS TOTALLY MEANT FOR THE MOVIE IN THE FIRST PLACE OMGZZ" DVD afterward.

I can't wait for this film actually, at first I was very dubious about it, however when I first saw the trailer I changed my mind as it looks much better than I anticipated. It looks to be on par with High School Musical 3 in that they could probably get away with giving it a theatrical release, then again there are risks with that seeing as it's "spin-off" status will likely lead people to write it off before actually seeing it

It's looking like this is going to be a DTV and that is very disappointing.

Is there any glimmer of hope that this has more potential than that?

Picked it up/watched it Tuesday
The movie was about ok as a movie about Sharpay can get.

The picture quality is surprisingly very grainy and film like.
Audio/Music is pretty nice. The songs were all stage songs instead of break out at any given time like HSM, and most were pretty good.

I was fine with the movie until "Baby" by

started playing during Boi and Countess' love montage scene an hour in.
I immediately took the disc out, threw it at a wall, stomped on it a bit, cleaned it off, and and started where I was again.

(seriously, I did do that.)

I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber, but it wasn't Justin Bieber, it was Lucas Grabeel.
There wasn't a cameo from someone from the original HSM-cast, except for Sharpay's parents.

I loved the movie, because Sharpay was my favorite HSM-character and there was a lot of developement. The dog-story was kinda lame, but I loved the songs.
