It's fine to get the movie, but when there are 7-15 hours of bonus materials like Gone with the Wind and Wizard of Oz (and that does not include the many commentaries) you have a winner.
The only problem I have with Criterion is that they mostly license other documentaries and television programs, instead of producing their own material. If Warner really opens the vaults, it's almost too much :). I find that David Fincher's movies also have a lot of material. I've seen a lot of discs, but the Zodiac and Curious Case of Benjamin Button supplements were some of the best I've ever seen.
Thing with Criterion is they are smart enough never to produce their main features. However, they do the work on making new bonus features for their titles. Then again, like all companies, stuff is hit or miss.

I was only talking about bonus features :). I know Criterion only licenses the movies they distribute and not produce them, but I meant that the bonus features are also licensed a lot of times. In some of these cases I thought that maybe an especially made documentary would've been better sometimes, instead of possibly going the 'easy' way with just licensing other stuff. I know there's also money involved, and other issues.
But maybe I'm just spoiled by some other discs :).

They do seem to moving away from making their own special features, but I have hope for the upcoming Chaplin films.
