I swear stupid people work at these places, and they say why the economy is going down. Hire some f'riken intelligent people that know what they are doing, and don't think they are the S**T for working at BB for $8.75 an hour, no offence to the people that do...but respect the customer, because customers pay the employees BILL!! I canceled my pre-order and went to the Best Buy I always go to.

I hope they do something. corporate can sometimes be useless.

So although I already opened up my copy from Best Buy.....I'm wondering if I should get one from Amazon and return it to save the difference. Thoughts?

How much did you buy it for at BB, and how big of a differance is it?

Well I had pre-ordered for the Steelbook and used my coupon as well.....so it was $14.99...but I had gotten Sleeping Beauty with it as well....then she forgot to ring up my $7.50 for my pre-order....so she ended up sending me over to customer service where they just refunded me the money I paid for the pre-order....can someone make sense of all this?

I am not trying to compete over who has the more lenient store. I just don't want some poster or even lurkers, going to a "by the books" Best Buy, as you referred, and hoping to price match Amazon. And get turned down, thats why I recommend price matching, Wal-Mart.

Dude, that's just messed up.
I thought so too, but I've never been able to price match anything at Best Buy. They always seem to find some excuse not to honor the price match at my local store. Maybe its where I had to go though customer service because of the preorder. They even pulled up Toys R Us's website and said it was different on the site too, so they can't price match.

Thats total BS, put your foot down, and demand them to do it. The Wal-Mart ad says Blu-Ray, and it shows the pic of the Blu packaging. Do it fast, if they don't honor it, their loss, buy it from Amazon.com, Wal-Mart, or ToysRUs.

Wait Walmart had a 5 dollar off coupon? Well i guess Toysrus made up for it with the 5 dollar gift card lol so it still worked out in the end. I used my jobs gift card as well, so it was actaully free. ;-)

I already bought it from Best Buy, and I'm watching it now. I wished I could have price matched it, but its impossible with the employees at my store. If it wasn't for the Steelbook I already had I would have just went to Toys R Us or Wal-Mart.

I looked at the Wal-Mart ad and its the same as the Toys R Us ad. They want honor it at all like that. On the picture in the Wal-Mart ad it says Limited Time on top of the case. That's their difference, and why they say its a different version. They kept telling me today that it was a Limited Edition, and the one I wanted was a Diamond Edition... Spent about 15 minutes today trying to convince them it was the same, and even the manager came over and said "no".

LOL that is the same thing that happened to me today! Did we go to the same BB? Look, there are a lot of ignorant people. There are only 2 kinds! Then, there is all these collections edition. Wal-Mart has the Blu-Ray version. Go to Wal Mart, buy the movie, and return that one you bought at Wal-Mart to BB with the BB reciept. Thats is what they get for being stupid! Ask them then where is the one on the picture, and I swear to you they wont be able to find it!!!

I was tempted to ask them if they had the "Limited Edition" yesterday so I could price match. :)

The employees at this Best Buy "study" these ads when you ask for a price match. If anything on the picture or the description in the ad isn't the same as the item you bring up they always turn down the price match.

Don't believe in mail order stuff, but that is just me. I was satisfied with my Best Buy deal of "Snow White" for $24.99 (Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy, and "Sleeping Beauty" for $29.99, and getting a $15 Best Buy gift certificate in the deal. Also picked up "Harry Potter" 1 and 5 for $17.99 each while I was there.

:D

I had no problem getting Best Buy to both honor my $10 coupon and the printed Wal-Mart weekly. I think my secret is to find an employee who looks like they don't want to be there, then just act like nothing you say can possibly be questioned.

I didn’t have a problem at the Best Buy store I usually go to. No one should because it is a legitimate offer. The 1st Best Buy I went to (I had the movie pre-ordered and the only reason I went there) was giving me a hard time, and were really ignorant! No one who have a problem. If so call Best Buy corp. and settle it there!

This sucks. I won't support blu-ray by any means. Why isn't there a DVD option? I'm only buying that version of the release anyway.

for those who want the book edition, the coupon works. Took a moment for the folks at my local BB to find out, but it does.
