I really like this new trend Disney is making, as the Anchor Bay versions I already own on DVD of "Big Red" "Littlest Horse Thieves" etc. were not anamorphic. Although Condorman was quite a disappointment.
So the recent rundown is as follows:
Big Red - 1.85:1 (16x9)
The Incredible Journey - 1.75:1 (16x9)
The Wild Country - 1.33:1 (4x3)
Condorman - 2.35:1 (Non-anamorphic)
Smith! - 1.78:1 (16x9)
Scandalous John - 2.35:1 (16x9)
The upcoming DMC Exclusive releases include:
The Littlest Horse Thieves - 1.85:1 (Non- Anamorphic) - Anchor Bay Release
Castaway Cowboy - 1.33:1 (4x3) - Anchor Bay Release (DMC could be 1.85:1)
Hopefully Disney improves upon the previous Anchor Bay releases and presents them both in 16x9 Widescreen.
I've seen a few minor differences in "Smith!" and "Scandalous John" as far as the DMC is concerned. They no longer have the Wonderful World of Disney logo plastered all over the case. The DVD spine has stills from the movies rather than the WWoD logo (Similar to Condorman). They also no longer play the WWoD introduction before the film. Full-color disc art is also a thing of the past, each disc contains only its title etc. with black lettering. Each of the new films does offer English captions/subtitles although its not offered in the menu.
