As much as I would love a Blu for TGMD, I don't think this ad has anything to do with it.

I think we're on a totally wrong tangent to think this relates to any existing film/product. I fully believe it will be a new show, movie, etc. - nothing being re-released, re-made, or anything like that.

OT: tlc38tlc38 - I love how your new "Blue Banner" is just that - an all blue banner. Creative! :)

I have no clue what this is either, but I guess I'll look to it with intrigue and excitement... here's to hoping it is something cool!

Oh, by the way.. since we're on the subject (sorta) I'll be 23 in 7 months, and my fiance already is

Now THAT would be a great idea!
That'd be marvelous! *dreams*

You were both born on Corbin Bleu's birthday!!! (He'll be 20!) :pink::pink::pink:
My birthday is Feb. 21 too! I'll turn 24 this year. (Off-topic: The musical, Sweeney Todd, is gonna make a stop here in Maine during its tour and my mom's taking me to see it for my birthday! I've never seen the play before but I adore Tim Burton's movie adaption. :pink: Last year for my birthday, my mom took me to see the Cats musical when it stopped in Maine during its tour.)

I just found out about this ad campaign in my Disney Movie Rewards e-mail newsletter. I am really intrigued about what it is and just spent the past 20 minutes googling and stuff.

At first I feel like they're going to announce some sort of movie or DVD or release some movie or DVD because I've only seen the ad through the DMR newsletter. But then again, it puts a web address so it may be an online thing. Has anyone see this ad campaign on TV or in newspapers or magazines or something? Since I've only encountered it online so far, I'm wondering if it's just an online thing that will happen on March 10th.

From my research I found this and it seems entirely plausible and super exciting!
Screamscape.com wrote:(1/13/09) The latest D-23 update claims that the whole initiative came forward last year when a Disney fan berated Iger over the fact that the company only caters to the casual Disney park fans and has abandoned the more dedicated intense long-term Disney fans. If the rumors hold true, people will apparently be asked to pay about $100 a year to become part of this new club which will be offered a bunch of new exclusive merchandise opportunities as well as setting up 1 or 2 fan events at the parks a year, with the first to take place in Anaheim.
As for the origin of the number 23… we still don’t know for sure but it was also pointed out that WED officially became Walt Disney Imagineering in 1986 and the shareholders changed name of Walt Disney Productions to The Walt Disney Company in 1986 as well, making each name 23 years old. As for the March 10th date… some wonder if the details about the new club may be revealed along with the rerelease of Pinocchio on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 10th.

I like the idea of fan events at the park! It can be like Comic-Cons but for Disney fans!! How SUPER AWESOME would that be?!?!? I'll go and where my Dale Rescue Ranger costume and people will actually know who I am (some have called me a "reindeer on vacation").

Wow, if that's true that would be pretty cool. Think of all the fun photo opportunities! I'd wanna go as Gadget, or Lilo.

My guess is that the product being advertised will be revealed on all the Disney DVDs being released on March 10th. A 23-disc bluray box set sounds pretty freakin' expensive, though! Do you think maybe they'd release a more affordable version that is contained in one fancy binder? But which 23 films would there be? That's what doesn't make sense to me.

But I like the idea of a sort of Disney hardcore fan club or a convention-type thing.

Everyone I have talked to with information say that its been kept pretty secretive, but that it has something to with the Disney Archives. That's all I've heard so far about the intriguing add campaign.

And by the way, I am 23.

You aren't getting off that easy. YOU have a Dale costume that you wear?
Is this to costume parties, or do you put this on for casual strolls in the park?

How often do you wear this costume, and please post pictures...

Pretty often, he dances around the house in it on the wknds. :P

It's actually a costume he made for Halloween one year, back in high school...and i've definitely seen him wear it at least three times. I'm still waiting for Escapay to make an equally cool Chip costume - he has the hat and leather bomber already. He just needs fur and a "chocolate chip" colored nose.
