I actually took time one day to watch Bambi and Bambi 2 as it should be timeline wise. After Great Prince tells Bambi to come with him, I stopped the movie and put Bambi 2 on. Other than a few inconstancies (Great Prince's age, Thumper suddenly being really annoying), it was kinda fun to watch it that way.
Bambi 2 was one of those movies I totally panned before seeing it. As a great fan of Bambi, I was disgusted with the very idea of raping it with a sequel. When I heard Andreas Deja was heading it, I thought it was worth a viewing for that reason only, and I was very surprised. And it perhaps is one of the best "sequels" Disney has made yet. The artwork is smoother and brighter than the original, so its not matched exactly, but compared to some of the other DTVs, its top notch IMO.
But the huge list in the OP, no, can't say I could really be bothered by it. But it is a fun idea to watch a few movies in the order of their story lines.

And really juvenile, almost as if he were younger than Bambi instead of older!Siren wrote:Other than a few inconstancies (Great Prince's age, Thumper suddenly being really annoying)
My cousins and I did the same thing in April. We were watching Bambi one day, and at the scene you mentioned, I casually said, "And that's where Bambi II begins." They had no idea it even existed and now wanted to watch it before continuing with Bambi, so I changed the discs, we watched the midquel, then resumed the first film again.
True. In the few and far between times I've sat down to watch Cinderella in the past couple years, I've found myself watching Cinderella III: A Twist In Time right after it.Siren wrote:But it is a fun idea to watch a few movies in the order of their story lines.
