My biggest issue with all these lovely pieces are the price. As much as I'd love to own them, I'm having a hard time justifying paying so much when there are so many things I'd like to collect!

The Fred Moore piece is still really standing out to me, even as a plain piece without the paint. And I still really want the Darkwing one, although I might settle for the snowglobe instead, lol.

This all reminds me of how I really should get back into sculpting . . .

Wow, the Fred Moore girl is great. I remember that being just one of many of his girls on display in The Illusion of Life and it's cool to see they're bringing one of his sketches to life. I really envy Moore's drawing skills as he just seemed to be able to make such appealing drawings so effortlessly.

Yeah, the Moore one at least is a must have. But, I badly want the Darkwing one as well, and I've lost my appreciation for snowglobes because I find they always start losing water eventually. Though, I still badly would love the Pete's Dragon, Rescuers, and Under the Sea snowglobes, but I'm going to try to be satisfied getting maquettes instead. I know there's a nice Elliott one out there.

I totally agree that the price is a problem though. This collection I'm hoping to startup (to replace many of the toys I currently own with more "mature" memorabilia) fully depends on my being able to find a decent job or income when I relocate, and I've always had trouble with that. Gotta get that Fred Moore girl and keep up with the toon ladies series though, and I really want the Darkwing and Rescue Rangers figs at least! The Disney Afternoon was such a huge thing for me! I also greatly want the Rocketeer, Goliath, the Buffy maquettes (just the ones of Buffy herself), and various others I've seen on the site, but especially those.

Incidentally, I've also become interested in sculpting a bit. I hope to get around to making maquettes of my comic strip characters in the near future.

Cartoon Brew has a picture of the finished painted Fred Moore girl up. They also say it will cost around $124.99 and come out in a few months as a limited edition. I'm trying to save up enough money for this and I hope I get it in time.

Oh, man, I'm in love with the color version! Can't wait to get it! Hope I find a job quick after moving! Though I wouldn't worry about getting one right away. All these so-called "limited edition" sculptures turn up on Ebay regularly.

I'm venturing to guess that this one will go for a little more and probably sell a little faster.

That's two major sites advertising this that are trafficked by Disney fans who probably know who Fred Moore is and will be looking to get this one. I'm not sure I can afford to wait on my limited budget.

I didn't notice this before but they're going to have multiple hair colors available for the Fred Moore girl:

Crap. They're both gorgeous and I'm sure the redhead one will be too (a shame brown hair and black hair are usually just considered the same thing, brunette; they are very different). Now, I'll never be able to choose. I'd get them all, but I'll struggle to be able to afford ONE, I'm sure. Especially since there are already a ton of Electric Tiki sculptures I want to Ebay, and a few similar ones from other companies. Man, I have just relocated today and I need to find a job fast... But I've always been cursed when it comes to trying to find a job.

Yeah, I'm torn. I think she was blonde in the original sketch but it's hard to tell for certain. This is killing me too, as I really can't afford these and I've also been eying other Electric Tiki statues (for some reason I really want those Popeye ones).

Yeah, even though I have a really nice 12 inch or so figure of Popeye (from when they did that great action figure line a few years back that included one 12 incher; also got the small figure of Peacoat Popeye and would love to get the others) I want that black and white Popeye at least. It would go nicely with my Electric Tiki Betty Boop if they're the same size, or if it's larger, that's cool too. So far I only have two from Electric Tiki: Magoo and black and white Betty Boop (who was surprisingly small). My intention was to focus on Electric Tiki, but I started expanding my Walt Disney Classics collection instead and found an awesome 40's style Bugs Bunny and a great pair of Tex Avery's Wolf and Red, and now I'm unemployed again. When I find a job, I'll get back to Electric Tiki, starting with this one probably (and probably the blonde if that was the original sketch), though I also badly want the Fleischer Superman and Lois statues that are out there and more WDCC statues... Still need a good Mickey. I have the harp from Fun and Fancy Free, so I'd like to get the Mickey, Donald and Goofy from that one, but I also just want a basic '30's or 40's style Mickey to go with my Bugs. My computer desk is set up all retro like that with the 30's/40's era sculptures, a mug featuring Big Bad Wolf looking right out of the original Disney shorts, and even a candlestick telephone replica.

Those are next on my list after the Fred Moore girl when it comes to which I want the most. Also the Dick Tracy one. And they're making a Roger to go with the Jessica. They actually made Jessica with different colors of shirts. Frankly though, I'll be happy with any one of those. Probably will try for the green one though. Or I'll rewatch the cartoon, actually, and see what she wears in it. I don't recall.

I don't recall her wearing that outfit at all. I remember from that short is her in her red dress outfit being tied to the roller tracks.

I'll probably get the pink one.
I'd like to get total of 6 different sets: 4 from Rocketeer and two from Jessica Rabbit. I'm fan of stuff from art deco era(1920's-1940's) hence why I'd love get these. but most of these are so damn expensive

I read that, I just wanted to voice my concerns. :P

Thanks, anyway.
