Actually, "The Deprated" was my mom's favorite movie last year, but I still highly doubt I can see it.

I have seen a lot of classic movies, but not yet the ultimate one, the supposed 'best movie of all time': Citizen Kane.

And althoug I know Clockwork Orange is also regarded a classic, I won't see it because I know it's shockingly voilent. And I don't think I can stand that.

Timon/Pumbaa fan: any one who's not seen the Star Wars series cannot be called human??? Come on, don't be so melodramatic!

Anyone seen The Nun's story and Roman Holiday yet? (two Audry Hepburn classics).

Adam's rib is another one I haven't seen, just like Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf.

I always miss them!
That's why I download or buy them!
By the way, you can scrap Indy 1 from my list and I'm going to watch part 2 soon!

Whenever I find out someone hasn't seen The Rocketeer, I get all fanboyish and go "Then you're not a real Disney fan!".

Yes and YES!

I prefer Roman Holiday to The Nun's Story (which I still don't have on DVD, despite starting a thread a couple years ago announcing it was finally arriving on DVD). I think the ultimate Audrey film is and always will be Breakfast at Tiffany's. Though sometimes I fluctuate between that and Sabrina when it comes to which one is my absolute favorite.

I agree with both those statements. How could people not know about these films?

Well ... some people (like me) know of the films but haven't yet seen them. And my copy of The Rocketeer is sitting on my shelf collecting dust. :P

Eh....not really.

All Titanic is is a chick flick with costly sets. The fact it's over three hours long also adds to the pain.

I'm mildly interested in Titanic itself and can recommend some good documentaries on it(including Disney's Ghost of the Abyss) but I'm certainly not interested on a boring 3 hour-romance just to wait until the boat sinks and Leo die. In fact, the only reason I have any interest in it is because of it's success.

I'm just flabbergasted at this forum, another reminder as to why I've let. You guys REALLY need to brush up on your classics. You do know film didn't start in 2002 and that the first film wasn't The Little Mermaid right? I mean, I can understand not seeing Gone With The Wind or Citizen Kane, but anyone who hasn't seen any Star Wars OR Indiana Jones films yet doesn't legally deserve to be called human.

PPF- Here are some films I doubt you've seen based on your list that you should try checking out with your friends along with the ones you listed during the summer:

High Noon
The Searchers
12 Angry Men
To Kill A Mockingbird
Dr. No
Goldfinger
The Pink Panther films(the brilliant Peter Sellers franchise, not the just plain average one with Steve Martin)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
American Graffiti
Jaws(might be R, but one of the tamest R rated films around that should be fine)
Rocky
The Naked Gun Trilogy
Back To The Future
BeetleJuice
Who Framed Roger Rabbit(it's technically Disney, PLEASE tell me you've seen this)
Groundhog Day
Jurassic Park
Ed Wood(R, but I'm sure you've heard the F word in your lifetime)
Forrest Gump
Men In Black
Shanghai Noon
Chicken Run
Catch Me If You Can
Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Casino Royale
I'd agree with you about the films such as Pink Panther Films, Naked Gun Trilogy, Rocky, and the rest you listed. Even though, from your list, I've seen:

Pink Panther movies (Absoulute classics, especially with slapstick humor)
Naked Gun Trilogy (Same as Pink Panther films, but more of sexual innuendos in it)
Back to the Future (including part 2 and three even though part 2 is the weakest in the trilogy)
To Kill a Mocking Bird
Jurrassic Park
Groundhog Day
Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the WareRabbit
Jaws
Rocky (films 1-4 but never watched the 5th one since I'm assumed that one sucked badly)
Ghostbusters
Beetlejuice
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (Quite obvious that I loved that film dearly)
Forest Gump

Now tell me if I'm ain't human. :P

To ALL:

OH, btw, I'd recomended you to watch any of the Marx Brothers films, especially Duck Soup and the Night of the Opera. Those were absolute classics. :)

Well, I had to make a revision to my list as I saw the Indiana Jones Trilogy recently. I also added on a few more movies.

Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Forrest Gump
The Godfather Trilogy
Jaws (Just bits and pieces)
Rear Window
Rocky
Schindler's List
Star Wars (Episodes II and III)

The list can go on forever.

Close Encounters and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I intend to rent 2001: A Space Odyssey soon.

I finally watched 'Casablanca' a few months ago. Good movie, but since the disc had problems (rental disc) some scenes were distorted.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

I've seen many Classic Hollywood movies ("Casablanca", "Citizen Kane", Hitchcock films, "Imitation of Life" - to name just a few), more modern films are the ones I'm not much familiar with, films like:
- Blade Runner - I've never seen it in its entirety
- Jaws and Jaws 2
- Close Encounters of the Third Kind
- Kubrick's Lolita - I've seen all other Kubrick's films (I think)
- 2010: The Year We Make Contact
- Nightmare on Elm Street - the entire series, save for "Freddy Vs. Jason", I've seen all of "Friday the 13th" series though
- Evil Dead trilogy
- many James Bond films from the 1970s and 1980s

And as for animated films:
- The Secret of NIMH
- TransFormers: The Movie
- Watership Down
- Plague Dogs - I actually have it on DVD, I'm just afraid to watch it :(

You think it's to scary? I've seen it once many years agy and I thought it was quite sad and depressing but not really scary. Or are you worried it's to sad?

Yeah, that's the reason. I get very emotional when it comes to animals' deaths. And I'm in this crazy phase when anything can get me to the verge of tears so I'm just going to watch it sometimes in the future because I don't wanna be depressed for weeks :(.
