I think that it's extremely smart to market Miley separate from Hannah. I really like Miley's album, and I really like Hannah's music. From what I've read, kids prefer Hannah's music to Miley's- Miley's is more rock (well, rock/pop). At the concert I was at, though, I didn't notice a difference in fan reaction to Hannah and Miley.

When the TV show goes off the air, Miley will still have her music career; I think that it was smart of Disney to have Miley release her album (even though it's a double album with a Hannah album) now, versus when the show gets canceled, so her fans will already know Miley's own music by the time the show is off the air.

From my last check there's not that much Hannah Montanna stuff in our stores where I live. Her face is here and there but not nearly as much as you make it out to be. Perhaps where you are it's different, but here she's just another face among all the other products. The only thing we have in abundance is nature and native american products. Honestly, I never heard of Hannah until I saw her show on t.v and learned more from this site.

To answer Big Disney Fan, there is a vent thread that would have sufficed.

Honestly, it sounds like you should be more angry at Disney for the aggresive merchandise pushing.

Yeah, I wish we had more of those, especially the "nature" part. But that's another topic.

Where is that?

Well, I'm as angry as they come.

Unfortunately, that's an off-topic/non-Disney thread and isn't relevant here.

But this is a specific rant thread that's on topic with this particular forum.

Also, it appears that more than half the posts in this thread have been more pro-Hanna than against her. Maybe she gets on some people's nerves, but the majority of us really don't care one way or another.

If someone wants to rant about it, it's no big deal. And I'll remind you again that just because someone posts it, doesn't mean you have to read it.

Furthermore, this topic had already kinda died down before you started ranting against the rant itself. If you had just let it go, this thread would already have dropped to page 2 or 3 by now.

But look where the circle is. Plus the candy microphone....god to Spencers sometime where they make the candy dildos, they look really similar. I do wonder if they are from the same candy company.

In cases like this one I also thinks it's the belly,or the legs.
The candy was stupid.

In reply to your other thread Arielsprince...I am glad he is back doing reviews too! I missed him :D The Veggie Tales Pickle video is far more dirty than this toy...I think he is more freaked out because she's so young and he's a grown man and the idea of touching her there or eating those candies bothers him. But he had no problem playing with the Veggie Tales pickle.

Yeah :D I haven't seen the Veggie Tales Pickle video but the Dog toy was worse then this (I can't believe that some parents will actually buy it to small kids!) the Barbie with the dog was also bad .
Did you knew that he worked on Disney merchandise? (I once PMed him and after the reviews on the Ariel Lollipop and Ariel Paddle toy I suggested making a review and those fish nuggets with Ariel on them (They released fish nuggets with Peter Pan and TinkerBell,Lilo and Stitch,Mickey Mouse and... Ariel) and he said he"ll try to find them but he haven't seen them back then but he also thought of that :D and he told me that).
That Hulkey Pokey thing will hunt me nightmares forever  but why they"re using the Spider-Man and Friends/Super Hero Squad version of Hulk insted of the film version of hulk for merchandise?.

I am a big fan of the Hannah Montana show & would like to get every episode on DVD (When is the next 4 episode DVD due?) because I enjoy it for what it is, simple, fun & entertaining. I would ask you all this though. Is it possible that the reason for the way this show is created & acted (poorly as some suggest) is because it's watched by much younger viewers? This show is a classic example of what I suggest to friends & that is "When watching TV shows & movies you MUST suspend reality to enjoy them." Only in documentaries should you look for reality. I am glad there are shows like this for people of all ages to enjoy & I thank the Disney company for providing them.
We are all brothers & sisters on this planet earth. We must plant the seeds of love today for our children's tomorrow.

Those of you who are familiar with the show, or know who Traci Van Horn is, shes Hannah's snobby celebrity friend and has a very nasly voice!

Anyways here's Romi Dames(Traci Van Horn) in an interview and wow does she sound very different from her on screen character! She seems like a sweet girl, its kind of weird to see her without hearing the nasly voice she does on the show.

I'm glad this thread came out

I simply hate Hannah Montana because of how much my younger sisters watch it, and prioritize that show over just about everything else.

As in, "Can we leave dinner early? I don't want to miss the new Hannah Montana episode!"

I mean, seriously. The show sucks to begin with... are they volunteering themselves for 30 minutes of torture? (OK, maybe 23 with the commercials  ) Not to mention, Hannah Montana's only claim to fame is her one-hit-wonder father, whose big song wasn't even any good! I know some diehard country fans who don't even like it.
(And personally, I kinda agree with Weird Al's Achy Breaky Song  )

And let's not forget Lindsay Lohan. Disney promoted the heck out of her, and what happened? She became a druggie who became famous for a completely different reason, just like Britney Spears. Hannah Montana has already been photographed by Vanity Fair, and who knows what'll happen when she turns 18?
A friend of mine told me they were paying her something like 5 million dollars to be the spokesperson for a condom company... I would laugh if that happens but would Disney allow that? It's things like that that shatter their reputations. (And again, I'm sitting on the sidelines cheering since I hated them to begin with  )

Not to mention that Hannah Montana can't sing. People might like her acting, but come on! Just because your father's a country singer does not mean you're genetically able to sing! With all the computer effects they do to songs these days, you'd never know people like her couldn't sing... And it really annoys me how many fans she has. With the concerts being sold out in mere seconds (my parents and I tried to get my sisters tickets the very second they went on Ticketmaster, and it was aready too late)... and all the Hannah Montana merchandise that's floating around. I mean, party hats and plates are usual, but I think this is over the top. Once Hannah Montana becomes the next Lindsay Lohan, what will happen to all that merchandise? I could have a bonfire in my back yard... if you get what I'm saying

Miley Cyrus... Her father is the Achy Breaky guy and that's about her only real claim to fame. (And jeez, that's his WORST hit... I've heard a bunch of other Billy Ray Cyrus songs, he's not THAT bad! At least *he* has talent...)

And ugh. Disney Channel's gone to hades ever since they stopped charging extra for it. It was a much better channel back in 1992 when they aired the old cartoons, the classic movies, etc., and maybe MMC.

Disposable child pop idols. UGH.
