Also I wish they do not restart the "Platinum circle" already in 2009... I'd really appreciate if they'd end it with Pinocchio and Fantasia before coming again with Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, etc...
But I do think they are going to launch Snow White in 2009, because if they don't, 2010 is going to be a really odd year with the two strongest movies of the collection (SW/BatB).

So, i think it's gonna be:
2009
- Pinocchio
- Snow White
2010
- Fantasia
- Beauty and the Beast

And for the next generation I agree some movies should be added to the collection, like Dumbo, Alice, Pocahontas, Tarzan (and maybe Mulan and Hunchback... but it's more my desire than my oppinion  )
I don't get why everybody assumes that if Snow White is released it has to take a platinum edition's spot on the callander. Snow White could very well be re-issued next year (I was actaully hoping for an amazing 3 disc+ gift set for the movies 70th anniversary this december, but that isn't gonna happen) just not as a PE. I don't see it coming back out till 2010 though, maybe even 2012 if Disney wants to make a 75 anniversary edition.

Snow White's appearence in the Enchanted tales sets could keep her movie delayed as long as Disney wants.

Because earlier this year, someone posted a list from Buena Vista UK that was meant for retailers (if I'm remembering correctly; I'm too lazy to search for the thread). This list was the first time we found out about Sleeping Beauty becoming the October 2008 Platinum, but we took it with a grain of salt until Disney themselves confirmed it. From what I remember, the list went on to say that the 2009 Platinums were Pinocchio and Snow White, while 2010 was Fantasia and Beauty and the Beast. Of course, it'd make a lot more sense to switch Fantasia and Snow White so that the Platinum Collection can be complete before being re-booted, but since when did Disney make sense?

If they are planning to release Fantasia, will they release Fantasia 2000 along with it, like the first three pack DVD release?

If you mean will the two films be available together in a set again, the answer's no. Since Fantasia's a Platinum, it'll have its own release, probably with the bonus materials that pertain to it from disc three of the anthology created as disc two of the PE.

If you mean will Fantasia 2000 be re-released as its own 2-disc set alongside Fantasia's PE, that's up in the air. Logically, that's what should be done, but Disney's just too unpredictable. The Tarzan and Emperor's New Groove re-releases in 2005 weren't 2-disc sets despite there being loads of material to be found in their older Collector's Editions. The same may happen to Fantasia 2000. It may end up being a glorified re-issue of the original single disc, with the contents from disc three of the anthology left by the wayside. I am certain it'll be re-released, though, since it's currently out of print. I just don't know if Disney will carry over all of the previous features.

Then again, by the time both Fantasias are released, Disney will be doing Blu-Rays concurrently with SD discs. Because of that, Fantasia 2000 may garner a 2-disc re-release either around the same time or shortly after the Fantasia PE. Whether or not the second disc will be a BD exclusive is another question, though. The Dinosaur BD dropped disc two from the SD, but then, that was an early release for a film Disney doesn't much care about. If we start seeing 2-disc BD releases for non-Platinum animated classics, that should bode well for Fantasia 2000.
