I quite like the poster. I too get an old Olaf vibe but for once I like the pun in the tag line of a Disney film (Seriously you can love the jungle cruise but nobody likes 'Raise the woof').
I wonder if Warner will still re-release The Polar Express this year considering the similar competition in IMAX films.
I am SO excited for this, you don't even know! The poster looks AMAZING, too! And I don't really think Scrooge looks too much like Count Olaf, although the pose is similar.
I've never been a fan of motion capture- I agree, it looks video gameish. I'm not wicked excited for this release, but I'll probably go see it- I like the "Christmas Carol" story in general (although nothing can top the Muppets version).
Watching the clip, I can easily see where the "video game" comments are coming from. However, It seems to me the only thing that really looks like that is the ghost. Scrooge looks pretty good to me, but the ghost not so much.
I know they are doing a "Train Tour" for this movie across the United States, so I was just wondering if anyone has seen it in their city yet? I can't wait until it comes to Washington D.C., but it isn't coming here until the later months. http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/new ... rain_N.htm
This was always one of my favorite holiday stories, so I am glad to see it coming back to the big screen!
So when I went to see Public enemies they played the full trailer for Christmas Carol and the animation looks great (way better than that of Polar Express and Beowolf which they keep comparing this to). If I can find it online I'll post it - but so far - no luck.
I saw Ice Age 3 in 3D tonight and they showed the trailer for the 3D version of A Christmas Carol. I must admit that it looks amazing!!! It was beautiful!
The movie really has the Christmas spirit and I hope I'll be able to see the 3D version. It looks way much better than Polar Express.
I completely agree! The animation looks so much better than that of Polar Express or Beowulf. And I wasn't too sure how I felt about JC playing the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future as well as Scrooge but after seeing the trailer I really love the idea.
