Maid Marian is obviously not a princess, or else she would be called "Princess Marian" without the aliteration.

In almost all legends of Robin Hood, Marian is a daughter of a nobleman (such as a Lord, a Baron, or other major land owner... even the previous Sheriff of Nottingham's daughter. Her father is usually still fighting in the crusades, leaving her in the care of the current Sheriff and/or Prince John), and sometimes she's just common or ordinary citizen who only attains her "title" of "maid" after running off with Robin and becomming an outlaw.

However, Maid Marian is not, and has never been, a domestic cleaner. Let me nip that rumour in the bud right now.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

well she's not a Maid as in cleaning and crap, more like a Virgin maid. As far as her uncle King Richard, I was thinking more like the immediate royal family like King Richard his unamed brother or sister who is Maid Marion's parent, and Prince John, so following down the line, Maid Marion would be a princess.

I was browsing eBay for Kida merchandise (I get bored sometimes...), and I came across this (I'm posting the link from Amazon, since the eBay link surely won't work forever):

Disney actually acknowledged Kida being a princess, on merchandise, in 2003!!!! I was amazed and figured that I'd share!

Yeah, I saw a similar looking book at a second-hand bookstore the other day. It was supposed to be a motivational poster book - Disney style. It had images of the princesses and quotes they said or their sidekicks said that were 'inspirational' (the quotes they chose were awful and not inspirational!)

Anyways, Kida and Melody were included as princesses.
