I know! I don't have the first volume of the "Silly Symphonies" on the WDT, but the Easter Eggs contains hidden cartoons not shown in the collection in addition to entire short, "The Practical Pig".
I cannot really imagine any particular "reason" other than purely practical ones, such as "that was what they had in stock at the time" or something...
according to Jim Hill's latest article about the Disney/Oz relationship the DVD of Your Host Walt Disney will include the 15 min introduction for the proposed OZ tv movies starring the various mousketeers.

I hope they include the other version of THREE LITTLE PIGS (1933). You know, the one where the wolf dresses up as a Jewish peddler instead of a Fuller Brushman. Wouldn't that be interesting?

Not that I've seen. Hopefully the disc will arrive the moment my Narnia and "DucKTales" V2 reviews get done (i.e. hopefully soon) so that I can begin covering them before release date.
Oooh - I'd totally forgotten about these coming out! I guess I'll be heading over to Amazon tonight to place my order (I have a full set of Treasures and wouldn't want to fall behind now)!
I know it's probably way to early but do we know what Disney have planned for next year's wave?
Class - I am not sure what you see as crap in this wave? I am extremely pleased especially given last year which the two live action Treasures left a lot to be desired.
We all knew it would take three more waves to complete the animated shorts when Walt was alive.
It makes sense that Pluto and Symphonies are together as they are in between in popularity. They need Donald to support the more esoteric releases which may not have been ready.
I certainly don't see any of the Treasures as "crap". I'm very thankful that this material is being released rather than sitting in the Vaults where nobody can enjoy it. Just because something may not be according to your personal taste does not make it crap. Remember "one man's trash is another man's treasure". I hope that they continue the series for some time to come and that we will see more of the live action material in the Vaults come forth.

Perhaps because you didn't grow up seeing the Hardy Boys episodes on the Mickey Mouse Club? For those of us who did we are looking forward to seeing these again after 40 years.
