Cinderella III has a '3' at the end.
If it's a '3', that means it's acknowledgeing the existence of '2'.
'2' must be 'Dreams Come True'
But I want 'Dreams Come True' destroyed and not 'part' of the trilogy.
Who agrees with me!?
I would agree with you, but I would actually rather see
Cinderella II retooled/replaced instead of destroyed. Here's how it
should have been:
Now that Cinderella is Prince Charming's new wife, Prince Charming leaves her for whatever reason. Cinderella is introduced to Prudence and all of that, getting used to being a princess, and she doesn't do so well. Jaq has the fairy godmother make him human so he can console Cinderella better, since the prince isn't around, and he wants to help. He meets the distraught princess as a young man, and starts spending a whole lot of time with her. They walk, they talk, they play, and Jaq soon falls in love with Cinderella. Cinderella still only loves the prince, but is also still failing as a princess, and both the royal staff and the people of the kingdom are making fun of the prince for taking in a "scullery maid". So Cinderella runs away, writing a letter to the prince about leaving the palace for him, so he doesn't "have to be ridiculed anymore" and can find "a real princess". The prince returns, and when he discovers the news, he is very distraught. He goes on a search for her, having to rely on his love's face instead of a slipper, but Jaq is searching too(using Major, the horse that was turned into a coachman, to ride), and they sort of end up in a race to find her, since Jaq thinks he loves Cinderella more than the prince(because the prince only knew Cinderella for a little while, and then he left her at the palace). Meanwhile, Mary(the girl mouse) is looking for Jaq, and there's lots of antics with the other mice looking for him. Cinderella decides to work in the Baker's shop, where Anastasia appears and falls in love with the Baker. Cinderella decides to help Anastasia get the Baker, but it doesn't involve giving her a makeover. It involves Cinderella helping Anastasia keep it a secret from Lady Tremaine, because she would think the Baker is beneath her daughter. But later, Anastasia decides she doesn't want to keep it a secret any longer, because she doesn't care what her mother thinks anymore. This inspires Cinderella not to care what others(those who made fun of the prince for marrying a commoner) think, and she reunites with Prince Charming. While a lot of that is going on, Mary has learned from the fairy godmother what happened to Jaq, and she goes on a long scary trek with some of the other mice to find human Jaq in the village, where he is still looking for Cinderella. Jaq is so amazed that Mary did this for him, he realizes that she loves him, and he becomes a mouse again to be with her. And they all live happily ever after until Lady Tremaine uses magic to turn back time...
As you can see, I was trying to keep the theme of "falling in love with those who are viewed as not on your level" or in Jaq's case, "not in your species". Now, Anastasia's romance with the Baker is very important to my version. It is the very romance that inspires Cinderella to get back with the prince, it makes sure Lady Tremaine isn't completely absent from the story, and since at the end of
Cinderella II Anastasia leaves her mother, that makes it easy for Lady Tremaine to pick which one of her daughters will fit into the slipper when she turns back time: Drizella.
So what did you think,
Julian Carter, or anyone who read my version of how
Cinderella II should have been?
