If we're dreaming of the ultimate version of B&B, wouldn't you prefer it if somewhere deep in the vault the missing footage from 'A Step in the Right Direction' was located and inserted back into the film?

Either that or give Angela Lansbury a ginger wig and get her to recreate the entire sequence. ;)

Because, in true DVD-release fashion, even Ultimate Editions won't be complete.

Plus, I've seen the 1996 version enough times that it's complete enough for me, and as entertaining as "A Step in the Right Direction" is via audio and pictures, I see it as superfluous to the movie.

Mine would be part of the Walt Disney Treasures line. It would be called "Walt and the World's Fair." It would include the Disneyland episodes pertaining to it, as well as news and media coverage of it. Hopefully, if they exist, videos of the rides in motion. And then bonus features with interviews from the Imagineers who helped create the attractions and a history of what happened to the rides. I would love to see that!

Wow, I love everything that's been suggested. Well, since my favorites are already Platinum or will be soon, and I can only think of a couple of things to add to my number one favorite film, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," I'll have to go with my favorite ideas treasures sets too.

Because it would be such a blast from my past and I've heard nothing of this stuff coming to DVD soon, I'd want either one or the other of the following:

Walt Disney Treasures: Totally '80s:

This would include:

Disney's Fluppy Dogs

The Mickey Mouse Birthday Special that included Roger Rabbit, where Mickey wandered onto the sets of Cheers, Family Ties, and others with no one recognizing him (because he was under the sorceror's spell, and the sorceror looked NOTHING like he did in Fantasia)

Sport Goofy in Soccermania

The Disneyland Birthday that included Ernest as a kid visiting Disney World with his dad and Woody from Cheers remembering riding the Haunted Mansion as a kid and meeting a girl who was actually a ghost.

Disney's Totally Minnie

The Complete Wuzzles TV series

The Return of the Shaggy Dog

Mr. Boogedy, Bride of Boogedy, and various other unreleased episodes of Wonderful World of Disney from the 80s

The Muppets At Walt Disney World (if that was 80s, though it may have been 90s)

Disney Park videos (both sold in the park and sent out free) from that decade

The Love Bug series

A featurette on Disney films and other stuff from the 80s

A featurette on the parks in the 80s

And I'm sure I could think of more...

All restored with all that good technical stuff...

OR...

Walt Disney Treasures: The Disney Parks: Anaheim to Orlando and beyond:

Disneyland USA

Disneyland Showtime (if it's the one I'm thinking of, with the Osmonds and Kurt Russel)

Disneyland Around the Seasons

Disneyland Christmas Candlelight Ceremony

EPCOT Opening Day Special

Follow Us to Walt Disney World

The Muppets at Walt Disney World

The Mouseketeers at Walt Disney World

Captain Eo

any and all Disney park commercials, promo videos, and videos sold in the park

Any Disney park birthday/anniversary specials, AND that Mickey one where the spell is put on him that I described for the previous set

Any films that were shown at any of the parks that could be included, like the Lion King conservation film at EPCOT

Thorough tours of all the parks everywhere, and the hotels and restaurants, and anything we can get on the foreign parks

The whole series "Walt Disney World, Inside Out"

Episodes of TV shows that visit Disney World, like Boy Meets World and Family Matters, and documentaries like the ones on Travel Channel, Food Network, A&E, or wherever.

Anything else on the parks I forgot.

The movie Tower of Terror

Thorough look at attractions that no longer exist, including complete footage (of shows too) when available.

I love all ideas suggested but I especially love Escapay's ideas for Bedknobs and Broomsticks, slave2moonlight's idea for a totally 80's treasures or dvds (Fluppy Dogs and Mr. Boogedy!), and the idea for Pinocchio. Hopefully some (if not all) will come true.

Wednesday, March 21, 2007:
I hope I will not regret returning to this thread later on and that some people have learned their lesson. I hope that any future posts after mine will not contain anything remotely similar to descriptions and names for bonus features, packaging, banner names, etc. From now on, if any of my new descriptions or featurettes are copied and slightly modified for someone else's set, I will pull out once again, and simply ignore that user's messages on the boards. It's not my thread, but I'll ask Sequel to once again ask for it to be closed, to further prevent more acts of plagiarism.

The Love Bug series

A featurette on the parks in the 80s

And I'm sure I could think of more...

All restored with all that good technical stuff...
I'm all for that!! I've always thought they should dig up some of the old 80s specials. That is one of my favorite areas of Disney Nostalgia. Adding on to what you wrote, a featurette on the origins of the disney channnel, and maybe some promos and bumpers would be great.

I'd love to see more of the Muppets. They could release the WDW Muppets 3D show on DVD with 3D glasses featuring a fuzzy Fozzie-ish design around the edges. I loved the 3D show!!
And what the heck happened to Season 2 of the Muppet Show???!!!

Sounds like a great set, Flanger-Hanger. However, it could be just a 2-disc set. I think the bonuses for both films would fit onto one DVD since galleries don't take up incredible ammounts of space and each making of segment would be around a half hour. I really wish Disney would do that. I love "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" and really want the bonus features about Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!!!!

Have it also include a featurette and ride-thru from this guy and I'll be a happy camper! :D
