Watched the making-of featurette on The World's Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins. Then watched the 1971 Documentary, also directed by Roger Donaldson, called "Offerings to the God of Speed". It is the documentation of the land speed records set by Burt Munro in the late sixties that still stand today. Then I watched a nice little featurette about New Zealand, Burt Munro's homeland. Really nice to see a DVD that is a true story and actually has footage of the real person that the film is about.

The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!

I have been procrastinating on getting Superman on dvd, but I finally picked up 1 & II at Wal-Mart the other day.
I just watched one of the documentaries on Superman, and was intrigued by the fact that in the theme song, if you listen close, you can hear the word "Superman". Richard Donner and John Williams brought this up, and as much as I love John Williams and have seen the movie, it never clicked that you could hear the word in the score. I thought that was cool.

the 28 Days Later , widescreen special edition:
both alternate endings (I just can't watch a storyboarded ending with the filmmakers doing the character's voices, so I skipped the "Radical" Ending)
and the Making-of special, which focused much more on virus / infectious diseases than the movie. They should have called this the HBO First Look special, it's not very thorough.
