WOW, what a great poster! The landscape is really beautiful...and I like the tagline, which means roughly "fill the tank with escape". Although I think it's sort of funny that they chose to append the slightly redundant subtitle to make the title read, literally, "Cars: Four Wheels" (Cars: Quatres Roues).

I may have to find a copy of this poster somewhere....it's really something I'd like to have on my wall 8)
Oh, I'm sorry, you're all standing...here, let me make you a chair!

5) Sequoia N.P.

I am so excited about CARS! I can't wait to see this. For those who like to collect, I have an awesome scoop for you. Mattel, makers of Hot Wheels, will be producing the die-cast vehicles for the film. They look so awesome. I am a member of www.HotWheelsCollectors.com , and they have just posted pictures of the line. You will have to sign up (it's free to become a member of the site), but, it will be well worth it to see the pictures! I would post them, but, the site does not allow you to use their pictures. The link, below, will lead you to the thread. Let me know what you all think!

Those do look good. I saw them on ebay and rushed out to my local Toys R Us but sadly could not find them. Does anyone know where I could purchase them? :P

Ditto that. MUST HAVE item for me.

Sigh. I just saw some amazing posters of the individual cars (from the movie) online. If only Disney would put this much effort into making and promoting EVERY movie they do. Even if that meant much less movies per year. Heck, even if they only had one or two movies released per year.

I think we should find it at our local Toys R Us and maybe Target.

It is a bit early for releasing advertising toys for Cars. I've seen this at Toys R Us:

but it is listed on Amazon to be released in May. So maybe around the end of April we will finally see Cars merchandise! :D

As for the price, it should be low because these cars weren't made any different than the hot wheels cars available in stores. (All hot wheels have a lot of details and actual rubber for the wheels.) Plus, it's ages 3 and up; it goes to show how much these are considered collectibles. So it should be around 5.99, but my theory could be totally wrong on how much it will be priced.

Wow, rereading my post earlier, I can't believe how my interest as dropped for this film!

While I still like the idea of talking cars, it looks too much like a buddy film, it looks so typical Pixar.

I'm honestly starting to get more excited for "Over the Hedge" more.

Which isn't a bad thing. "Typical" Pixar is MUCH better than most of the crap that is being released.

Actually... that's true!

I'll still see it, though I must admit, I'm not looking forward to it as Pixar's previous films.

I have read that these are being found at Toy's R Us stores, and that the price is around $3.99 (plus tax) each.

Really? The more I hear about this film, the less and less it looks like a buddy picture. The "buddy" part of the movie originally seemed to be between McQueen and Mater. Yet, the official Cars site lists 12 main characters (but, yes, McQueen and Mater are listed first). Then, the TV spots come out, advertising Paul Newman (Doc Hudson) and Owen Wilson (Lightning McQueen), with Newman mentioned first. Only one TV spot that I've seen listed Larry the Cable Guy as Mater. I don't see how it could be a buddy picture with McQueen and Doc. Finally, the trailer comes out, with much of it showing McQueen driving around with Sally. I think it's going to be a story of "McQueen's adventure and the people he meets along the way," with Mater as the first to befriend him, Sally the love interest, Doc the adviser and whatever other part he may play, and most of the other cars will play slightly more minor parts in the story. That doesn't sound much like a buddy picture to me.

(Then again, I don't consider Toy Story 2 to be a buddy picture, and most people disagree with me there...)

SWEET. Now I can throw away the $0.99 I bought that came with candy that doesn't even look that good compared to the hot wheels one.

I got them! Toys R Us has a whole display. There are smaller ones for $3.49 and larger, more detailed ones for $7.99. They also have stuffed talking ones for $9.99. I bought them all.

I went today, luckily the cardboard back was sticking down from the shelf and was hidden behind the big boxes otherwise I wouldn't have seen them. But they were sold out of the pullbax ones. I don't know which I should keep, that or the diecast. Because if the pullbax had crappy detail, I would keep the die cast but maybe it doesn't?
