Because it's NOT the US version of the set (releaased Nov 15), but the European edition (bthe belgian or german digipack) of season 10.Robin Hood wrote: How do you already have Friends: The Complete Tenth Season?

I just got my copy of the Cinderella Gift set for $19.99!
DISCLAIMER: I highly doubt that any of you will be able to duplicate this, and I really discourage you from deliberately trying, as it would be dishonest (I tried to tell them that it was too low!)
I had seen that the Disney website listed the Gift set at $29.99, and I assumed that my local Disney Store would have the same price.
I went into Best Buy to ask them for a price match at $29.99, and they had to call the Disney Store to verify. The BB clerk asked the Disney clerk exactly how much the Collector's Gift set was, and mentioned that it was the box set with the book, 2-disc DVD, etc.
I presume (from many of my past experiences) that the Disney clerk was completely ignorant regarding DVDs, and gave the price of the standard 2-disc version.
The BB clerk asked if the Disney clerk was sure, and got a "yes." So the BB clerk told another clerk to ring me up at $19.99, and said she had verified it with the Disney store. I even tried to tell the second clerk it probably should have been $29.99, but he said that $19.99 was what he had been told... So... Yippee!!!

I just got my giftset today and I got a quick question about it. Did the character portraits have little frames like in the Aladdin and Lion King set? or are they just floating free. Mine are just thrown in there.
It's not like those little paper frames where that nice, they actually gave me problems with getting the pictures back in the box, but it was a nice detail and made them easier to handle. Where they not include with the Cinderella protraits or are mine just missing?
On a less important note, none of my gift sets have a not for individual sale sticker on them. Some one mentioned on the thread that they did, I'm just saying mine didn't it.
And now for something nice to say: I haven't gone through the whole "A Dream Come True" book yet, but I did really like the inclusion of concept art in the storybook section. I felt the stories to be dissapointing in the Aladdin and Lion King set, this one however, at least has some nicer pictures to look at.

Yours, mine, everyone. I think they're all like that. Doesn't look as nice as the other sets.so it goes wrote:I just got my giftset today and I got a quick question about it. Same here, and I purchased mine from Best Buy. I guess that part varies. On a less important note, none of my gift sets have a not for individual sale sticker on them. Some one mentioned on the thread that they did, I'm just saying mine didn't it.

I really can't say, Alan. It really all depends on Luke. He has a lot of other reviews he needs to put out there such as Magic Kingdom, The Emperor's New Groove: The "New Groove" Edition, Lost etc etc., plus our (by our, I mean me and 'Mike') Cinderella Gift Set review. As you said, patience is a virtue, and all we can do is wait.Alan wrote:Yeah, when is your giftset review gonna be posted? Has anyone heard any sort of explanation as to why the sketches were done by Ollie Johnston and Andreas Deja together, and/or know who drew what?
I am sad to think that this would have to do with Ollie Johnston getting older, although, that is the most logical guess that I can surmise. I was just wondering if anyone else knew more. I almost started crying when I saw the sketches...to think of Ollie getting older and being the only one of the Nine Old Men left, and also just thinking "one of the masters from Walt's day working with one of the masters of the Disney animated classics of my youth..." and getting emotional at that thought. (I am a rather sensitive gal, you see.)
