Yes, I agree that the thought that bringing people together by only allowing them to behave differently in another area is contradictory (if I take your point correctly).

NB: This topic was actually moved FROM the general forum, TO the off-topic, but you still make a valid point. And it furthers my point - why should we be boxed into little holes? If someone posts in Spanish in the General forum, yes SKIP over it and just read the English threads...

Maybe you need to get out Australia and see the world maybe you will understand it more! the same goes for everyone that lives in the states. LOL Loomis am I the one that needs to learn English? Despite MMBs 'argument', racism is not just in the good 'ol south, and you don't have to be wearing a white sheet to be racist. The more you all try to justify what was said before, the more you are pulling out the old "I'm not racist, BUT..." card.

Look, racism/non-racism is not the issue, though. THIS shouldn't even BE an ISSUE. Someone should have been able to type something in Spanish, and the posters here should have been mature enough to go 'Hey, look...Disney in Spanish! Cool!', without feeling the NEED to post a response, particularly a negative one. As our new poster jonas has so wisely said, if you don't like it, move on and read something else.

So much for moving on and being "above all this", calling MMB, and apparently myself, ignorant rednecks. Please don't do that again, really don't do it. I am not a redneck, I can't stand rednecks. I really don't know what I did to qualify in your book as a redneck. I tried to explain to you that all MMB was saying was that the Spanish posts should be done in the International Forum, how that makes ME a redneck I don't know.

But that's all the guy said. He never said you can't post in another language, all he said was to put it in International, as General is usually related to Region 1 releases. Plus, MMB wasn't the only person to say that. I looked back upon these posts and saw that another member said it as well. MMB has nothing against Spanish people or the language, as he knows the language himself. But as I said, I would rather not continue this, so hopefully this is the last of this because I know it won't get any nicer if we continue.

This all got completely out of hand. I went back and reread all of the posts, the ones that are still here. I admit that I flew off the handle, that's true. I read a strong condescending tone in the posts and didn't like the implications and flipped out a bit. If I went too far and offended any casual readers here I am sorry for that. I think the other fellows that were involved in this thread also overreacted, as I did. We have agreed to let it go now and not continue with this as none of us have any good feelings about this thread, hopefully it dies soon.

If you want to discuss the ideas of language, unity, anything really...please feel free to start a new thread and discuss like mature individuals.
