Snow White will get a new restoration by the team who did the latest Cinderella one. It was revealed on the article about the classic shorts Disney has restored that I posted the other day, but I didn't read the full article then.
The restorations were spearheaded by Walt Disney Studios Restoration and Preservation team, led by director Kevin Schaeffer, working in close collaboration with creative advisors from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The latter included Dorothy McKim, special projects and 2D animation producer, along with color supervision by Mike Giaimo and animator Eric Goldberg. This same team recently restored Cinderella and are currently working on a restoration of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Great to hear Disney themselves really did do it, at least it sounds like it was done in the states and not Japan like it was rumored? Anyway, even greater to hear the fairest and most important Disney film of all is getting the treatment!

That's great to hear. Hopefully the restoration will be as beautiful as the one they did for Cinderella.

I’m ordering Cinderella today.
Next I’ll get Snow White.
When they restore Sleeping Beauty, my 3 favorite Walt era film trilogy will be complete.

However, I will purchase the regular Blu-ray of every restored Walt era animated classic from Snow White to the Jungle Book.

Please restore an unedited Make Mine Music for the collectors market.

I’ve given up hope for an unedited restored Fantasia and Song of the South.

Beside Snow White, I'd be really interested in Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Bambi and Fantasia. These films would look so beautiful in 4K.

Indeed. I haven't watched it in a long time. It always makes me cry, during the pound scene. Otherwise, it's a really happy motion picture that, just like all the other Disney classics, puts a smile on my face.

Vlad, you probably know this, but the original 1955 poster art for LATT said,
“Walt Disney’s Happiest Motion Picture”.

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you, that I got a copy of the Masterpiece VHS of the movie, and also the Viking Press book from 1979, with all the beautiful production art inside. I was very surprised about the book, because it's used, but it's near mint. It cost like $25 with shipping.

Just looked up that book, it is very pretty. So it has those opening written parts of the storybook in the film? I wonder, does it have that picture of Snow White's mother that was posted here years ago (I wasn't sure where that picture was found).

Nope, it only has art from the actual movie, nothing extra.

Assuming this went through various stages of approval by Disney, does this mean the Prince's name is now officially confirmed to be Florian?

I’ve always wished Snow White’s and Cinderella’s princes had names.

St Florian is the patron saint of firefighters. His feast day is May 4.

People have probably already seen this, but I just came across it, so I thought I'd share. Julie Andrews and Adrianna Caselotti singing together "I'm Wishing" and "Someday My Prince Will Come".
