you realize i was kidding right? I would never do that myself.Super Aurora wrote:To be honest, I hate people who do that. An artist put their time and effort to do a commission for someone. I can empathize him on that.ajmrowland wrote:Yeah but imagine how much disneyboy couldbthen sell thevautograph for when you're a superstar.

Note to CJ and all the other contributors to this thread:
I am here to admit to a falsehood that I told in 2008 about being an Independent voter. I was feeling a lot of pressure by all the contributors to express my political leanings. I truly believe at that particular time I said that I was an independent (which I am not and have never been, I am a registered Democrat since 1962) I only wanted to "fit in" here on the UD thread.
I do have a brother who is a registered Independent, has been and always be to the best of my knowledge, and I still listen to him when he wants to talk about what is happening in this troubled world of ours.
I will take this opportunity to apologize for the "lie" that I told, but since I am now a little bit older and, I hope, a little bit wiser, I hope that you will all understand. You (other contributors) put a lot of pressure on people who don't see things your way, and I bent to that pressure just to get you to let up on me. I am truly sorry, but I do commend CJ for going back in the threads and finding my 'mis-statement' about my political affiliation.

Really? You're blaming other people for the fact that over the past couple of weeks you've lied? Because from the way you've forcefully addressed and lectured others on this topic over the past few weeks, you really don't seem like the type of person who bows to pressure to conform; quite the opposite in fact. And it's very hypocritical of you to accuse others of putting pressure on you to change your opinion when you have done exactly the same to others here.dvdjunkie wrote:You (other contributors) put a lot of pressure on people who don't see things your way, and I bent to that pressure just to get you to let up on me.

Also, I'd like to take this time to say, if Romney wins, I'm not eating crow to kiss up. I at the same time will not wine like a pre-madonna also.
Also, I think out of all three of these debates, there is now a clear winner out of them. That persons picture is below

First I want to thank those who have PM'd me to thank me for coming forward about my posts in 2008, and without mentioning names I want to say Thank You and keep up with the good work.
I also have received two PM's from members who will remain anonymous for their admissions that one is not registered to vote and one is a backer of the Romney/Ryan campaign. Now that takes real guts and I do appreciate the PM's.
Thank you Carolina Kid for accepting my apology.
And yes, on the Disney Forums there are lots of pressures to see things the way certain people do, or you get chastised and pressured to see things their way or get off the thread. I have done that many times.
And I have not lied one time since I started contributing to this thread. Those that can't see that, or very close-minded and no able to forgive anyone for a 'mistake'. But whoa, they can forgive our President for all his failures and his arrogance and disrespect and his 'bowing' to the Arab Sheik that has all of Washington up in arms.
Did you watch the Debate? If you did, we now have two weeks from today for the most important election this year, and I believe that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a long road to haul to make up for all of the mistakes that Oblame-me has made in his four years in office.
Obama was absolutely off-base last night and you could see him become very upset with the truths that Mitt Romney was speaking. Especially when it comes to Iraq, Iran and Israel. Obama became unglued at times and I think that the moderator did a pretty good job of keeping everything under control. The closing remarks for Obama was the 'same old crap' about his record. I don't want a record of failures to stand on, and that it why I will be voting for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
If you can get past all this, here's is something from NewsMax that might make you think better of your choices on Tuesday:

Obama "won" last night's debate but it remains to be seen what impact that will have in November. Once again I thought Romney was vague and preferred attacking Obama's policies than clearly spelling out his own; he likes to say what he will do but seems to duck out of explaining HOW he will carry out those policies. To be fair, he has momentum from his victory in the first debate and has avoided saying anything to disrupt that in the last two; Obama might have won the debates but he hasn't delivered a knockout blow to Romney's momentum so Romney was probably smarter to play it safe with his rhetoric about his own policies than say anything that may come back to haunt him. I hope Obama wins in November, I think Romney has the upper hand right now so it will be interesting to see how the next fortnight plays out but, if he is elected, I still don't know what to expect from Mitt Romney as president; my gut tells me he will be a disaster and I think his foreign policy (or lack of) will be the main problem.

More war and less rights. Which is why I'm not looking forward to another Republican (aka rich, white man) in office.DisneyAnimation88 wrote:if he is elected, I still don't know what to expect from Mitt Romney as president
@junkiegate: I don't believe a word of that explanation. I didn't believe he was an Independent then, much less a Democrat now. Being polarizing has always been his point for posting; this is the same person who refers to Christina Aguilera as “Miss Boobs-a-Lot.”

One of the people who PM'd me, said as much, so I think that if this person had to send me a message that wouldn't be seen on the forums, then I believe that they are being truthful and honest and I have the utmost respect for them.
I have not told any lies these past weeks as you say I have. I have only stood my ground for our new President, and tried to get you to understand that there are two sides to every story. You people seem to believe that only the 'liberal' pundits are telling the truth and refuse to think that any one else can.
After watching the debate and recording the post-debate reactions from four different sources, I have come to the belief that none of you watched the debates or listened to any one of those reaction-type programs for fear that they might show you how wrong you are.
President Romney will bring us stability in our economy, and will do away with all of the freebies that Obama dished out to buy votes - free cell phones, among others. Our schools will get back on all four wheels, and people will again be smiling and happy to see each new sunrise. Our new President will bring hope to all of the children that their future looks bright and they will have a job when they graduate from college.
Obama's reaction to Romney Monday night - "You are all over the map Governor" was his only reply when called on his indiscretions while in office. We didn't have any blue dress with stains on it, but we have a long list of failures and broken promises. And Barry wants all of us to forgive him and understand that he can only do so much in four years.
To use Joe Biden's terms - 'It's all malarkey!' Mr. President. You don't have a record to stand on, and on Tuesday, November 6th, you will be without a job, and I wish there were some way we could make you sacrifice that huge salary you will be getting for being the former President.
I am basically done, until November 7th, when it will be me admitting I was wrong, which I don't think I am, or you coming to this thread and apologizing, which I don't think any of you will, it will be very quiet on this thread. I will peek in once in a while, but my vote is cast, and I will just wait until next Wednesday.
I will accept this as a compliment. Since you have decided to call me that does it mean that you have resigned yourself to the fact that you have been rooting for the wrong candidate?Hm. I'm gonna start calling you dvdRomney

In my mind there's nothing to forgive, you said something that was false and got caught out, that's all there is to it really.dvdjunkie wrote:Since you seem to be unable to (or don't want to) forgive me for my past indiscretions, then I now realize that you are just a group of people who only believe in what their friends do, because if you don't they will chastise you in a public forum like this one.
I can only speak for myself but I have never had a problem with you supporting Mitt Romney; an election is a matter of personal choice and everyone is entitled to that choice. What has alienated you and offended others is things like you comparing Obama to Hitler or calling him ObaMao, insinuations which are just ridiculous and have no place in an intelligent discussion.
If Romney does win no one is going to apologise to you, why would they? You've backed your candidate and those who disagree with you will back their's, if the right man wins in the long-run then everyone will be better off. But no one should have to apologise for having faith in Obama, just like no one should have to apologise for having faith in Romney; there's a lot more than forum bragging rights at stake over the next two weeks.

Wow...smiling, happy, new sunrise...? Deluded, much? Let me guess--you're one of those people who think of Obama as the Antichrist?dvdjunkie wrote:people will again be smiling and happy to see each new sunrise. Let's not forget that Romney's state was 47th in job creation while he was senator. From that reputation, I'm not sure where the rainbows will be coming from--from the rich 1 percent's houses, I suppose.

2. I'm not at all voting for the wrong candidate. I'm 100% voting for the candidate that's right for me.
Let me tell you something, sir. You've gone off the deep end. And I'm not saying that in a malicious way, by any means. I'm just saying that I hope you realize that you sound like a crazy person. You attack everyone in this thread and try to shove Romney down everyone's throat, like the dick that he is. Personally, I think it's a waste of time to go back and forth with you in this thread like many others are doing. Which I hope they would all realize that and stop so you're left alone with no one to argue with but yourself. I only commented on your quotations situation cause I found it funny, that's all. Other than that, I've barely been in this thread.
Lastly, I hope you know that even IF Romney gets elected president, which I know will be followed by about 17 different I-told-you-so posts from you, it doesn't at all mean that you were "right." It just means that this country is full of too many brainless, inane people, such as yourself.
Remember: The popular vote or opinion is not always the correct one.
Good day.
