Here's a little clearer (but short) video of Meaghan singing the end of the song:

I'm all for Disney stars, but even I don't know about this one...I am excited to here the full (studio) version- her singing it live will sound different than the version that will be on the PE (and Disneymania 7).
Thanks for posting that, Mason!

They never put an older recording of a song (a Disneymania song, anyway) on the DVDs...they always have a new recording, hence Ashley Tisdale's "Kiss the Girl", Selena Gomez' "Cruella De Vil", Emily Osment's "Once Upon a Dream", and Meaghan Martin's "When You Wish Upon a Star". I really like Jesse's version, too, though.

I actualy enjoy Emily's verison of Once Upon A Dream, way better than No Secrects verison *shudders* what a nightmare, Selena's Cruella De Vil had a lil modern flare to it. I'm sure that we can all agree bout "Wish Upon A Star" bein remade, it's one of THE most POPULAR, ICONIC songs of all time and we want an artist who can fully grasp the song from a...*thinks* from a deeper view.

Meh. I stopped watching the music videos back when... well, I don't think I've ever really watched the music videos. As long as the other special features are substantial, I could care less which Disney Channel actor-of-the-week is trotted out to record a pop cover of some song. Generally, I don't care for any cover versions anyway, so no matter who sings it chances are I don't care.

Ditto, I only tolerated about 5 seconds from the "Once Upon a Dream" music video before I switched my T.V off.SpringHeelJack wrote:Meh. On the back cover art, I love how Pinocchio's reflection shows on the apple.271286 wrote:Might have been posted before, I don't know:

Given that Disney's been flipflopping on how to present disc art (full colours, transparent, or none at all), I wouldn't be surprised if the full colour character artwork is gone too! That was, like, the best part of the Limited Issue! Man, I'd stare at the full colour artwork all day, admiring it, even thinking about framing it, but then I wouldn't have a DVD to play. Documentaries and still galleries be damned, the full colour artwork is the only thing worth discussing for the new DVD! That and how nice the slipcover lines up with all the other ones on a shelf.Jake Lipson wrote:It was the lone suppliment on the Limited Issue/Gold Collection disc (well, except for full color character artwork on disc and film recomendations)
Anyway, to get away from the silly and move on to the...well, more silly...
With all this chatter about the new <strike>music video</strike> waste of disc space, I propose that THIS to be included instead:
Pinocchio Christmas pantomime on "The Paul O'Grady Show" (December 17, 2008 )
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 3.5
Part 4

It's so sad when you realize that someday, somewhere, someone will waste 3 minutes and 5 seconds of their life watching that and will never get it back.

How about the 1978 reissue trailer. That might be a good idea in the second disc. I remember seeing the 1978 re-release of "Pinocchio" when I first saw that film in a theater back when I was still a baby along with the short "The Small One" which came prior to that. "The Small One" is still one of my favorite holiday film from Disney and it was from 1978 with "Pinocchio" as a re-release.

I don't know about that, but I do think they should at least include the 1940 trailer which was included in the original DVD and the overseas 2003 DVD, too.musicradio77 wrote:How about the 1978 reissue trailer. This may be too late to ask for it, but I would sure like to see the combo trailer for the 1978 re-release of Pinocchio with "The Small One". I think it would be a mad cool addition to the supplements. I know that some of the other Platinums have had original trailers and re-release trailers, and thought I'd post here in case anyone at Disney was reading.........
EDIT: "Whoopsidoodle"!!! I totally should have looked two posts earlier. I swear I'm showing signs of dementia lately ::rolls::
Anyway, I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but on the back of the Peter Pan Platinum Edition picture above (the foreign language one) it says that one of the special features is going to be "The Sweat Box" the making of a Disney feature........I don't think it is, but what if it is that documentary made during Kingdom of the Sun. I mean, it has the same title ::shrugs::
