And as expected, music from Frozen (For the First Time in Forever and Let It Go) has been added to the Princess float at Disney World, but it's only like 3 seconds :|

I don't get the Lego Movie hype. I thought that it was silly.

It was silly for much of its run-time. Silliness included, I think it deserves the praise it has been getting. We need Chris Miller and Peter Lord to work on more animated films. As far as I'm concerned, they're two for two. And both of their animated films stand out as quite unique amongst the rest.
Tangled wrote:Well, for one, The Lego Movie had a way better handled (read: very cleverly foreshadowed) plot twist than Frozen, but other than that they're not at all comparable. They're two completely different (and excellent) films.
Personally, I thought the "twist" sequence in The LEGO Movie, while cleverly foreshadowed and incorporated, was a little overlong and overbearing. But aside from that, I have very few complaints. It was well-written, beautifully and creatively animated, and just plain fun.

I saw the Lego twist a mile away to the point that it didn't even feel like a twist when it happened. I usually DON'T figure out movie twists before they're revealed so I'm not bragging or anything, but all the "clever foreshadowing" was really heavy-handed and obvious to me. And there was a lot of it. And they're Legos so you kind of expect that toy element to be incorporated anyway, especially when they start talking about "the man upstairs"

Still liked the movie though, mainly for the laughs and fun visuals. It didn't affect me emotionally at all. Kind of a cliche storyline.

I thought it was a brilliant film, the best first LEGO film they could've made.

But LEGO and Frozen only share medium. They not comparable movies.

Btw, Frozen is doing crazy business in Japan. Last week it made 14 million, this week it made 26 mil? Frozen could very well overtake Iron Man 3 at this rate...

It's probably a good thing the Lego movie ended up being entertaining, otherwise it would've been your typical cheap movie made to sell toys.

Awesome. I hope they eventually release all of the tracks the cast sang that weren't used in the movie at some point.

It's a fine song, but I glad they went with First Time in Forever Reprise. That is my favorite song in the movie after Let It Go.

I personally thought that song had a more intense and serious tone. I still get goosebumps hearing the duet near the end. From the "Life's too short" clip, I found Olaf's dancing to be really distracting and unfunny.

The song is way too pop-y for me.
It's also way too happy and wouldn't have fit the movie we got, which is why i believe they changed it.
The lyrics are also just terrible IMHO. It just felt like people talking, which brings to the point where this is more like broadway song than a movie. They spend the entire song in one setting and it's basically just them walking around and singing. :S
I would have found it pale compared to the other song.

But after listening to the song a few times when the soundtrack came out, I never imagined Anna giving Elsa the gloves. Makes Anna come off as a jerk and Elsa was way too childish too.

I'm glad that they stayed with the reprise of FTIF but I am also so so so glad that we got this.
Idina Menzel sounds amazing XD

Yeah I'm glad they cut it. Sounds too much like "Take me or Leave me" from Rent. And well, Frozen doing "Rent for Kids!"... :|

Cute song, but would have felt jarring I think if they'd have put it in the place they were thinking of. Much happier with what we got.

It would have felt really out of place. I really like the song but I don't think it would have worked.

Elsa has been shutting Anna out most of her life. The way Elsa welcomed Anna in with open arms and with no trepidation or awkwardness felt really out of character. She has always been scared of hurting Anna with her powers and now she's asking her to stay???

I love 'For the First Time in Forever reprise'.

Wow, I am so glad they decided to cut this out of the movie; not only is it out of place, but it seems out of character for Elsa in a way. The For First Time In Forever reprise is so heart renching and powerful that it's my second favorite scene of Frozen.

After watching it again, I'm glad that it got deleted too.

The song starts out with Elsa feeling free, and she feels like she's able to be herself and who she truly is, and Anna wants Elsa to put her gloves back on and like Elsa says, be stuck in a prison cage again.

It would of made Anna look terrible, selfish and not very considerate.

Thank god that in the final version, Anna wants Elsa to come back and wants her to USE her powers to stop the winter.

I liked the song, but I agree the reprise was far more apt for the scene. I too get the Rent vibe :P
Though if it was reworked it could off worked okay-ish at the beginning of the movie?

Just a question?
Will Frozen/Tangled have scenes added to them in the future when they are re-released ala BatB Human Again and Lion King Morning Report?
