If it makes you feel better, Lukester, I read your review!

As always, it was a joy to read, especially with all the various Luke-ish references. It's pretty hard to link Disney to Wall Street or even Dallas! And of course, I had to chuckle at the fact that you managed to mention Marty McFly in the review. It's been quite a few years since I've seen an episode of DuckTales, but as soon as you mentioned that "I pity the fool" bit about skipping over the opening credits, the song just randomly popped into my head.

Anyways, it was a great review, and I'm still disappointed that it's not getting better treatment bonus-wise on DVD. Of course, now I have to add DuckTales to my ever-growing list of second-priority DVDs now, as I'm slowly-but-surely concentrating on lessening my DVD buying and *gasp* prioritizing what I'll buy instead of the many impulse buys I've had the past couple years! In the meantime, have a few pink elephants!

Great DuckTales review! As I read each episode, I was remembering watching them as a kid. I need to get these DVDs!

Also, I read your review of The Guardian (I didn't even know you wrote one...it totally slipped under my radar :P ), and I have to say that I agree whole-heartedly with what was said. I thought the film was disappointing. I admit had higher expectations, and after it was over, I was glad I had rented it for no charge.
The ending, I thought, was very anti-climatic and contrived. It didn't flow with the way the plotlines had been building up, either.
But I did hink the acting was good. There's no secret that Ashton won't be leaving us anytime soon, but it is disappointing that Kevin is floundering. His next film looks good (or intriguing, I should say), though: Mr. Brooks.

Thanks for the review on The Brave Little Toaster. I was addicted to that movie when I was little. Too bad it didn't get a restoration, I would've sought it out to see it again all cleaned up and looking fresh.

Okay, I can't remember when I last posted here, and it's probably been a while, so I'll just say great work on the reviews. I can't remember which ones came after I last posted here, but I read each review, each round-up, each interview, everything, so keep up the great work. I loved the Golden Girls review. Continue doing such great work, I love reading them all.

Yeah, they probably would put up the reviews if they had reviewed them. These guys are super busy and they can't do everything that everyone wants. Do you know how much stuff they do? They review DVDs, they review CDs, they take interviews, post press releases, moderate the forums, update the main page, update practically every other page on the site, and probably a lot more that I haven't said.

Anyway, I haven't posted here in awhile, and I'd like to thank everyone who does the reviews and everything else I had previously stated.

I love the brave little toaster! I impulse bought it a few months ago at best buy and was horribly disapointed in the transfer it looks like someone was taping it off of another tv. lol but its still a good movie! and great review of it as well guys!

Your Prestige review was great! I blind-bought the film last night severely hoping i would like it, and I did! That film was great. I wish I had seen it sooner...I would have nominated it for a UD award :P .

Your reviews are always good, and I'm eagerly awaiting the Peter Pan PE review!

One question on The Prestige: I have watched the film only once, but I as much as I loved it, I am stumped. How is Hugh Jackman alive? He drowned. Was the body in the tank at the end his double? I have no idea what happened...help me :oops: :P .

Luke, great review of The Prestige. An excellent film, and if I were running the Oscars, it would have been a Best Picture contender.

numba1lost boy: *SPOILERS*Hugh Jackman had figured out that Tesla's machine was a cloning machine, so what he did was every night when he did the trick, he cloned himself and drowned the original. That's how he did the trick.

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last review comments. I'll comment on a few of them now.

I had a slight curiosity to see “Step Up” before reading Escapay’s review. Thanks for saving me from wasting a rent.

“The Guardian” was just as predictable as you wrote, Luke. Good job on the review. I wish I had skipped renting that one.

Good job on the “Cinderella III: A Twist in Time” review, Aaron. I completely agree with everything in the review. Particularly the part about "Cinderella II" being the worst Disney movie. I was not disappointed with my blind buy of "Cinderella III".

I was glad to see the "DuckTales": Volume 2 review go up. I completely agree with the ten standout episode picks in the review, Luke. "Scroogerello", "Raiders of the Lost Harp", and "Merit-Time Adventure” have always been some of my favorite episodes in the series.

"The Golden Girls" The Complete Seventh and Final Season Review was a great read, Aaron.

The Brave Little Toaster Review reminded me of how much I like that movie. I need to pick it up sometime this year. “The Prestige” Review has me interested in renting or blind buying the movie. Excellent job on both reviews, Luke.

I loved reading all the interviews, especially the Kathryn Beaumont interview. Excellent work on the interview, Renata.

Thank you so very much, CJ. With one post, you've moved this thread from momentarily depressing to highly encouraging! It's a real thrill to see you put stock in our critiques and even appreciating details like starred episodes. That's about as much reward as we can hope for!

Thanks numba1lostboy and Just Myself too for the feedback. It's truly appreciated, even if I thought my <i>Prestige</i> review was below par. Maybe I've become a real critic and now find it easier to offer criticism than praise.

Nah. Seeing so many things makes it tougher to be blown away by something (which is probably why so many reviewers call so many things formulaic and predictable), but I <strike>think</strike> hope I've still got an honest and accurate critical eye. (Two actually.)

Didn't you have the 2nd season set of Lost Luke? I hope you can review it or I'm guessing you won't review the 3rd season set either when it comes out.

Nope. And it doesn't sound like the type of show someone can be qualified to write a review on while coming in cold. Unless someone steps up and proves themselves to be up to UD's writing and technical standards, then we may have to miss out on Seasons 2 and 3 for the time being. Sorry. This show's definitely been the biggest pain of any we've ever covered here, but then readership/viewership statistics show that there will be more interest even in a Playhouse Disney show than a Touchstone drama, so I can't worry about it too much. Still, not very "ultimate" of us, I know.

Just read the Peter Pan: Platinum Edition review, great work Aaron. Full of great tidbits of info about it, really superb. A few questions though- when will Return to Neverland be re-released to DVD? I know that you probably don't know, but nevertheless, I searched the review, and couldn't find a hint to it. Will it be released this year or when The Tinkerbell Movie is released? And speaking of which, is the Tink movie the third film, ro just a stupid spin-off film? And is it in 2D or 3D, because I'm not sure if the screencap on the review is the movie, or just a little preview bit or something. Anyway, great review, and whoever did the interview with Margaret Kerry, it was great as well. Top notch stuff guys. Keep up the great work, as usual. :up:
