Re: Frozen: Part IV
The problem with this year's animation competition is that there is surprisingly good sequel/prequels and not-so original original movie's.When I say the sequels/prequels are surprisingly good, they are just better than expectations. In order for Frozen to do well,Disney just needs to show this movie off.I keep on getting the feeling that the whole Olaf camp and dirty Robert Lopez lyrics is not just the tone of the movie. And it's possible that this movie can be campy, but it can't function on campy.

That's a little uncalled for, don't you think? There was absolutely nothing dirty about the songs in Winnie the Pooh, the last film the Lopez's worked on at Disney. I'm guessing you're referring to Avenue Q and Book of Mormon, but I'm pretty sure these two composers know what's appropriate for Frozen.Candy-Bonita95 wrote:The problem with this year's animation competition is that there is surprisingly good sequel/prequels and not-so original original movie's.When I say the sequels/prequels are surprisingly good, they are just better than expectations. Re: Frozen: Part IV
I don't know how excited I'd be about this film considering the marketing and story details we know so far if it weren't for those composers being involved and the fact that the entire cast has Broadway roots. That gives me hope that Disney will produce something really great blending a contemporary feel with the classic Disney magic.
Tangled came close but fell just short imo. The songs weren't memorable or spectacular enough, and I think some of that can be attributed to the actors chosen for the two leads. I can't see them wasting the massive amount of vocal talent they've accumulated for Frozen's cast.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I understand that Robert and Kristen know what's appropriate for the movie, but some people are suspecting some adult humour in the songs.Even in the recent interview, the interviewer asks about the lyrics rather than the style of the songs.(That's not the best question to ask regarding the music. We could have known the score composer instead) To be honest,I am NOT expecting the jokes to be vulgar, but if Olaf happens to sing some sort of adult joke, Disney will abuse the joke through advertising. Other than that,I don't expect the lyrics to be that vulgar especially if most of the characters have a regal air about them. That's a little uncalled for, don't you think? There was absolutely nothing dirty about the songs in Winnie the Pooh, the last film the Lopez's worked on at Disney. I'm guessing you're referring to Avenue Q and Book of Mormon, but I'm pretty sure these two composers know what's appropriate for Frozen.
There is spectrum of how the lyrics can turn out.
"I like a little fight with a saucy pretty maid, but he's basically saying he likes to get-paid!"
to
"Destroy Esmeralda and let her taste the fires of hell!Or else let her be mine and mine alone!"
and to
"Madame Gaston, his little wife.No Sir!Not me!I guarantee it.I want so much more than this provincial life!"
The Frozen lyrics couldn't be violent like the second line ,but it can involve emotions or ideas that are too mature for a young child's understanding. It can also be like the third line being mature yet understandable for all ages. And we really don't have a character to sing anything like the first line.
Don't mistake the spectrum as my expectations. It's just an estimation.

Notice how:
1) One of the stickers says "RADIANT HEART", which could be about Anna's frozen heart.
2) Kristoff is playing an instrument!
3) Hans isn't there.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
In one of Elsa's sticker says "Frozen heart", I don't know why some people still thinks Anna is the one who will get a frozen heart :/
But anyway, what is the relation between "RADIANT HEART" and "FROZEN HEART"?? It sounds like opposite to me

I did notice that Elsa said Frozen Heart, but I think Anna gets one somehow. And "hearts" will defientely be a theme.RodryCroft wrote:In one of Elsa's sticker says "Frozen heart", I don't know why some people still thinks Anna is the one who will get a frozen heart :/

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I think that "Frozen Heart" thing was not really literal. It may be talking about Elsa beaing alone in her Ice Palace, I don't know.
OMG Kristoff and Olaf new poses can be seen in those stickers! I can't wait. Show something Disney...please!

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I am genuinely baffled by this Anna has a frozen heart thing. It's being spread all over tumblr, although of course no one has a source for this "confirmed by Disney" plot point. I thought it made more sense to say Elsa has a "frozen" heart metaphorically, that can only be thawed by sisterly love and so on.
I mean it'd be interesting but as of right now, since apparently nobody can tell where they got this info, it's mostly just irritating

Did anyone end up going to this?Sotiris wrote:Will anyone be attending Siggraph this year? There will be a behind-the-scenes Frozen panel there.
Frozen: The Craft of Character and Cold
Walt Disney Animation Studios gives a first-time, behind-the-scenes look at their November 2013 film, "Frozen". Attendees learn how the team of artists and technologists created the film's characters through visual development, rigging, animation, and advanced rendering tools, and discover how the elements of cold - ice, snow and frost - were brought to life through new simulation techniques.

Hearts being a theme. Why do I get the feeling that that's going to make this a strong contender for Kingdom Hearts IIIdisneyprincess11 wrote:I did notice that Elsa said Frozen Heart, but I think Anna gets one somehow. Re: Frozen: Part IV
I don't think it will be already in KH III since the movie hasn't been released yet, but I do imagine Sora talking to Elsa trying to convince not to listen to her heart's darkness or something like that
Re: Frozen: Part IV
Well, KH III is pretty much still in development and as we've seen, it could take a while for it to be released. Also, wasn't KH II in production even before the first Pirates of the Caribbean film was released?tomakpo wrote:I don't think it will be already in KH III since the movie hasn't been released yet, but I do imagine Sora talking to Elsa trying to convince not to listen to her heart's darkness or something like that

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Anna and Elsa are being attacked by the heartless and then BHAM ! Sora appears and beats off the snowmen based heartless and has a awesome boss battle with Marshmallow !

I'm hoping for Princess and the Frog, Tangled and Frozen to be in KH3 and no Star Wars or Marvel.

Full interview here http://www.khinsider.com/news/KHDestiny ... -Expo-3362• In selecting worlds, are you interested only in Disney movies that have already been released or do you also consider future productions, such as "Frozen"?
Nomura : Of course, it is possible to include the worlds from future Disney productions. We currently have some ideas for the worlds of KINGDOM HEARTS III that we cannot speak about. Until the game’s release, new Disney productions will continue to emerge and we'll see in time with Disney for the possible integration of these films.
