Worse than Chicken Little?????????? It wasn't that bad of a movie. It was great and I wouldn't dare compare it to that filth of Chicken Little film. It was like Dreamworks Shark Tale. Mostly full of crap. I agree with Doug Walker and his comment about Chicken Little that the adults were so rude and the father was unlikeable not having faith in his son and all.DisneyJedi wrote:WHAT?!?!Widdi wrote:Personally I was rooting for Paranorman, but if something from Disney had to win I'm very happy it was Brave. I didn't hate Wreck-it Ralph, but it was easily my least favourite WDAS film since Chicken Little.

I don't really think this is necessary.DisneyJedi wrote:BECAUSE...
Wreck-It Ralph deserved it more, damn it! Do you have your head up your ass or something?!
I very much liked Ralph, partly for the nostalgia, but overall because it was a sound story. That being said I've always felt like the emotion of the film was force fed and it was much less eloquently scripted than other Disney classics (and I don't mean the unnecessary potty humor.) Whereas Brave rested on the structure of Disney classics, the heart of the film was developed and effortless. Just my own opinion, though.

I for one, felt that Brave rested too much on the structure and was great but not good enough to beat out this particular competition.Patrick wrote:I don't really think this is necessary.DisneyJedi wrote:BECAUSE...

REALLY DISNEYJEDI???? Do you think you could TRY to get your opinion across without sounding like a jerk? Opinions are just that, yours is no more valid than any others. I'd recommend that you get over yourself, but I fear that's a futile request.DisneyJedi wrote:BECAUSE...

I agree. I felt ParaNorman deserved the award, but at least Ralph didn't take it.Widdi wrote:Personally I was rooting for Paranorman, but if something from Disney had to win I'm very happy it was Brave. Yes, I did. At first, I figured they hadn’t even invited her to the show or to come on stage. I didn’t expect him to let her talk after she finally got there.Patrick wrote:Anyone else notice how Mark Andrews essentially ran to the stage, completely inconsiderate of Brenda, leaving her behind? Hm.

And Widdi, how dare you compare something so amazing (Wreck-It Ralph) to something so mediocre (Chicken Little)? Just... How DARE you?!
What did you expect from Divinity? I could have sworn s/he disliked Brave a lot more than Ralph but now s/he is saying he prefers Brave because this forum prefers Ralph. That's his/her entire schtick, s/he has no consistent opinions but just takes the stance that sets him/herself apart from others and makes him/her look smarter.SWillie! wrote:-______-Disney's Divinity wrote:but at least Ralph didn't take it.
Anyway, I am fine with Brave winning.
Yeah, I'm cool with Brave winning too. And maybe Walt Disney Animation Studios may get its chance next year for Frozen.qindarka wrote:What did you expect from Divinity? Even though it was my least favourite of the nominees, I really like Brave a lot. If anything, that shows what an amazing year this was for animation (in my opinion, of course).
Besides, Walt Disney Animation won Best Animated Short. That's the first time they've won that category since 1969. If anything, Paperman winning increases the chances of this technique being utilised in future movies.
If it makes any of you feel any better, I don't think Monsters University will win next year (Monsters Inc lost, so would be odd if its prequel won). I know this is too early to say, but I'm predicting next year's Animated Feature category will be Epic vs Frozen.

How dare you call people offensive names over one's opinion. Again it's this kinda bull drama that makes many people leave this great forum and website.DisneyJedi wrote:Seriously, Divinity?Disney's Divinity wrote:I agree. I felt ParaNorman deserved the award, but at least Ralph didn't take it.

Get over yourself please and quit being a drama queen already. If Widdi thinks Wreck It Ralph is as bad as Chicken Little it is. If you think Wreck it Ralph is better than Brave, it is. If someone thinks Twilight is the best film and should have won an Oscar for best picture, well er perhaps I'm getting carried away now with Twilight...
However an opinion is just that, an opinion. There is no way on earth to prove one's opinion is 100% Truth. Please go look the word Opinion on Google and memorize it please.
To get back on Topic I thought Mark Andrews looked and acted like an Arse with that kilt, although without the Kilt he usually acts lie the something that is in front of the arse

There are thousands upon thousands of voters in the Academy. A little hard to bribe such a large group of members. And the Annie and Producer's Guild wins shows that Wreck-It Ralph probably got a lot of votes, too. Mr Spinning iPhone voted for Ralph, after all.disneyprincess11 wrote:Unless Pixar buys "Best Animated Feature" and "Best Original Song"...again.TsWade2 wrote:Yeah, I'm cool with Brave winning too. I'm fine with people disagreeing with me, Widdi for one is well entitled to his opinion. Has just always appeared to me that Divinity is very fake. I remember his Brave review being far more scathing than for Ralph, for instance.SWillie! wrote:Haha well, in Divinity's defense, I don't think that's the case. Sure, I disagree with a lot of what he says, but he says so with legitimate reasoning and logic.
Oh, he makes long posts alright, and if looked at individually, they may seem well reasoned. Yet I do not feel as if he is posting out of genuine conviction in his opinions, rather to assert his intellectual superiority. His constant use of this smiley '
