dvdjunkie wrote:Note to Super Aurora: Your use of foul language does not make you a better person and shows just how much respect you have for those around you. There are lots of other ways you could have expressed your comments about me, and no matter what you say, I am an adult, I am a registered Democrat, and I am one of those "Undecided, but leaning towards Romney" people who is only looking for intelligent replies, and intelligent conversation about this upcoming election, and now you have shown that you aren't either one of those.
News flash. I don't give a rat what you think. Whether I use foul language or not is my prerogative. The opinion of an old skeleton like you means nothing. You say I lost respect but as far I see on this thread, you're the only one who lost respect for me, and you know, good riddance. Everyone else on this thread and outside of it has numerous respect for me regardless whether I curse or not. And frankly, that's good enough for me.
You're not looking for intelligent replies. If that was the case you would of engage in them more seriously about couple pages back. Now all you do is pathetic strawmen attempts at finding ways Obama looks bad rather than telling us or explaining to us why Romney is a good choice and better.

You still yet reply to the link of Tagg Romney, his son, buying out the Ohio voting Boothe. Doesn't that tell you something? As far as I know, that's someone I can't trust.

Also you been whining for one of us to list 4 things Obama did for this country so I'll list them and few more just for you to shut up about it.

-Ended Iraq War
This is important because Obama is at the least helping us get us out of these mess of a war in the middle East that we didn't even needed to be in to begin with. It's also a sign of Obama has good and strong foreign policies which is what the next debate is on. Romney showed little to none reality check on how foreign affairs should work. He says we should go to war with Iran. Seriously? We just finish Iraq and are closing in out of Afghanistan, and now Romney saying we should attack Iran because of possible nukes they may be building? It would be Iraq War 2.0 all over again and with the high deficit we have, another new war will shoot up again no matter what. In fact, no matter who we vote for, the deficit will still be high. It's not coming down that quickly within another 4 years. this leads to my other foreign accomplishments Obama been handling well with.....

-Began draw down in Afghanistan
Now that Iraq war out, Obama putting full attention is gradually taking soldiers out of Afghanistan. Why this important? Because we don't need to be there anymore. The initial reason we were even there to begin with was to hunt down Osama Bin Laden, which we finally accomplish and is my next point i'll bring up. Afghanistan is a shithole and is hopeless of any redemption. These are people little to nothing and have nothing to lose. They allow themselves be owned by the Taliban and the Taliban are like cockroaches as they keep popping up more and more like infested little scums. If you know anything about geopolitics, you'd realize that Afghanistan is one of those nation that very hard to take over(unless you nuke the country to oblivion), due to the terrain and caves it has, and that the people there are mostly poor and have nothing to lose. The more soldiers out, the better.

-Killed Bin Laden and other Al Qaeda leaders
Yeah yeah I know, that's too easy and boring of a listed answer, but know what? It counts and it counts for good reason even if it's an easy and overused one. These people are persistent little bastards that do anything to hurt us. And these people are run and govern by radical extremism propaganda by those who are in control of group. Osama Bin Laden, while not exactly is the direct operator of the 9/11 attacks, he is the moral and figurehead behind it. He's is the person he began and lead in the Al Qaeda ideals and ideology. Killing him help diminish the Al Qaeda's morals and will-power strength rapidly down. It would be like if someone shot down the emperor of Japan if we were fighting them. The emperor isn't actually the man who controls or do many of the operations but he is the moral figurehead that represent all of Japan, and taking him down make Japan become weak as well as they view the emperor as divine being. It's pretty much same thing here. In fact, this is a common knowledge tactic in military warfare throughout history. But it's not just Osama Bin Laden Obama help get rid of, but numerous other Al Qaeda leaders, like the #2 Saeed Al Shihri and more. By bringing down, one by one, these Al Qaeda leaders, you're basically diminishing their threat level and diminishing their power and influences. As far as I'm concern, this is a good thing and with us pulling out of middle east finally, I think this helps us put ourselves behind that mess and focus more on the mess we have at home much easier and much more in focus.

-Ended Don't Ask, Don't Tell
While this is a social issue(and military too in a sense) social issue are just as important as fiscal issues that you seems so deeply concern about. As for as I see, Obama been really good about civil rights and helping those are usually get discriminated against. This is one (the other being women's pay). Gays been push around by hate mongering and bigots for far too long and this laws in the military of Don't Ask, Don't Tell law is bullshit and ridiculous and shows example of such bigotry all because conservative are afraid that some gay man might give "surprise buttsecks" to them.

-Help for equal pay for women
I have high respect for women and I see women as important and upstanding members of this country. When I see or find women being subjected as beneath or below that of a man, it makes me rage. not giving women equal pay is one. the 2nd debate was perfect in showing how much Romney really doesn't cares about the women workforce. The fact he never really replied and answered the girl's question shows either he's trying to avoid it because he doesn't want to give them equal pay or he really doesn't know how to. You and I are males so it can be hard to understand this circumstance but if you look and put yourself through a women's eyes and heart, you would feel the same rage they most likely feel about this. Women are important people of this country and deserve the same rights and privileges as men in this country. Respect them.

-Passed the Hate Crime Bill
There has been lately a lot of discrimination and hatred on certain people and this is most likely because people are coming out and starting to stand for themselves like the gay community. When minorities or groups that gets discriminated starts to stand up and show their true worth, the oppressors start to feel threaten and feel their power control is weakening. And because of that, they starts to become even more aggressive and more assertive on to those they try to oppress, sometimes by using their religion as valid justification. Gay marriage issue is a good example of that. This Hate Crime Bill is good in helping us diminish and reduce that threat and aggression.

-Invested in Clean Energy
Yeah go ahead and call me tree-hugger for all I care. This is essentially important not just for us but for the future. One thing at least Obama thinking about is the future and this is one good prime example of that. You could argue in rhetoric that he's not looking into the future economically, but is some way it is. Why is this important? I'll tell you why. By investing in this, you showing sign that you realize that sooner or later in future, natural resources like oil and coal that we currently using, will eventually run out and also that coal and oil pollute the environment and can affect us. By investing in clean energy like solar power, solar wind, natural gas, etc, he's helping our nation to find ways not only making things better of our lives but also invest in new types of field for jobs can be created. This is something that's important in the long run. Romney and most coal and oil companies are only thinking of the "now" and thus want to still use something they are accustom to despite the long term effect it will have on the planet.

I gave you six but there are more, if you want me go on or that these list doesn't satisfy you for whatever inane reason you have.

dvdjunkie wrote:disneyboy20022: I always believed that you were you were own person, and could not be led around by some of your peers.
He's not being led by his peers. On the contrary, I think you're trying to lead him be on your side judging from the various posts in trying to convince him. You're not "thinking" of him or concern of him as you trying make it out to be. If you were why don't you help donate some money to him like I have. Yes I actually have done that, which means I care for him. Also, Obamacare covers preexisting conditions which is what I believe is what disneyboy20022 has. So he's safe anyway.

dvdjunkie wrote:I can tell from most of the recent comments here on this thread, that the majority of you haven't read my posts because you have written me off as an 'old man who doesn't know what he is talking about"
No, we written you off the moment you honestly believe that fox news and other obvious bias news media are honest and reliable news source for unbiased and fair news information. I know you're smart, and to fall for that just out your amazing intense anger at Obama is only clouding your thinking and making yourself look like a fool to everyone else. I don't mind or care that you find Obama isn't all that great. And you are right that there are some stuff he wasn't all that spectacular on. But I am questioning why you support Romney. Reading all the complaints and issue you have with Obama, I'm questioning why you support Romney as there has been shown numerous indications that Romney not going to be any better, and arguably even worse than what Obama doing. If I was you, I wouldn't vote for either or vote for a third party that can steal away votes from either major party.

Also you written people off too for stupid reasons like PatrickvD just because "he's not American". The politics of America, is important not just to our country but to many others as we are a super power and the actions of America can affect other countries as well.
dvdjunkie wrote:and so none of you noticed that I placed some wrong information about the upcoming debate between Romney and ObaMao. I wrongly said it was Tuesday, when in all actuality it is Monday (tomorrow) and not Tuesday as I posted. When I make a mistake, I can take the criticism,
I, and i'm sure many others here, already knew it was Monday so I dunno why you expect us to follow what you give out. Also that's just small error you made. We all make make small mistake like that. It's not something we should go bonkers over nor is that a good example of "I make mistakes too and I can take criticism of it"

dvdjunkie wrote:I only hope that those of you that think ObaMao is the 'be all, see all, save all' of the candidates,
No one here saying that so stop with the false assumptions. Another reason why you wonder why we don't take you in as seriously. You label us with false labeling and yet you get annoyed if we call you out on "old man that knows nothing".

dvdjunkie wrote:are in for a real shock come November 6th when all of this comes down to the Electoral College, who, if you watch any news networks, show that Romney is ahead by just a little. This is going to be a close election, I know that. But I have a real good feeling about the outcome, if Romney doesn't blow it tomorrow night during the Debate.
Going be close one yes. but you ignoring that early voting shown that Obama has the slight edge. Also Tagg Romney as mention earlier, bought out the Ohio voting booths. Geez I wonder why.....?

But as I point out in the points, Romney has weak foreign policy skills. He's strong in economics(though how he'll use that strength for the people is the more the question), but foreign policy? He's clueless.

dvdjunkie wrote:If Romney can pin the President down on certain things that have come to light recently, Benghazi, A123, Solyndra, and his $200 million dollar loan from China, just as an example, I think that Romney can win this debate,
That's all he has going and frankly I have feeling Obama knows that and is prepared on those issues. Also his $200 million loan from China is stupid mistake. Most of Romney's handling on China is stupid.

dvdjunkie wrote:And when it all comes down to November 7th, I will be waiting for you to apologize for being wrong in your beliefs that ObaMoa was going to win this by a 'landslide'. That is all for now.
You got such high confidence that if you're proven wrong on Nov 7th, I hope you're prepared to experience the massive crash on you by all of us because your high assurance on that you are so correct is going to come back and bite you in the ass. HARD. if you lose.

I post chart similar earlier but he ignored it labeling it "liberal media" so honestly, who cares what he thinks. it's obviously he's ignoring facts despite thinking otherwise and thinking he's the one presenting them.

Hilary Clinton: 2016

I'm sure after the election, the news and other people will start talking about the next election, and 2016 will be here and I'll be 29 years old

By the way, there's a picture or icon of Mitt Romney I found.

Hello there, it's me. I know I said I was taking a vacation for a couple of days, but this is something I had to share.

http://www.reagancoalition.com/articles ... ma-eo.html

Note Super Aurora: I do appreciate you listing the six things that you think Obama did that were good and make him the front-runner in this election. You still haven't explained how each one of those affected your life personally. That will be the trick. You won't be able to answer because they only affected the wealthy people who are in back pocket.

Obama's $200 million loan from China has done nothing to improve the American Economy, and the 22 million people out of work don't hold much water in his quest for re-election. He can't tell the truth. He avoids answers that he thinks might hurt his stance in the American eye. He doesn't realize there are smart people that pay close attention to details, something he doesn't believe in.

Explain his failures in the economy. Why did Solyndra go down. Why is A123 filing Bankruptcy Protection after receiving over $100 million from Obama in stimulus money. Explain how Obamacare is not going to raise taxes and what it will do to the Senior Citizens of our country. He doesn't talk about the $750 million he will take from Medicare and Social Security and then raise your taxes, and by your I am saying the average American.

I am totally ready to take the heat and all the "I told you so's" if Obama gets re-elected. So don't worry. I will be here on November 7th to take whatever you can dish out. I will be here because I want to see how many of you can man-up and admit you were wrong when Romney/Ryan win this very close election. I have no doubt that if they counted each and every ballot cast, Obama could win, but since it is left up to Electoral College, I really think that Obama is "One and Done". If not, I will be here as promised waiting for all the stones you are going to throw, and also will be here over the next four years to listen to your whining and moaning because we are being attacked by terrorists, and our economy is going to be so bad that you may have to drop out of college and take a job at McDonald's. Just be ready, because I will be.

Nobody is going to "admit they were wrong" following the election--and, yes, that includes you--so don't waste your time. Whether or not one's candidate is elected has nothing to do with right or wrong.

Just for fun, and because something kept standing out to me in this thread, I went browsing through the old 2008 election threads to see what was written back then:
dvdjunkie wrote:As a registered independent I want to see a candidate that speaks to the common man, to the working guy who has to put three meals on the table for a family and has to hold his head high when the times get rough.

& in the same thread:
dvdjunkie wrote:Since I am a registered Independent, I want to hear what all the candidates are offering to protect our country.
&
dvdjunkie in reference to his brother wrote:I happen to know he is a registered Independent, as I am, and he has taught me a lot about politics and life, and though he is seven years younger than me, I look up to him in many ways.
link: http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 98&start=0

Out of curiosity, Bill, how can you be:
dvdjunkie wrote:I have been a registered Democrat since I was old enough to vote, and that is over 50 years ago.
this year, but in 2008 you stated 3 times that you were a registered Independent? No mention at all about ever being a registered Democrat. Which one is it, Democrat or Independent? And to be clear, I'd like to point out that you declared yourself Independent in that thread long before anyone was chosen to run as the Democratic candidate that year. Back when: Edwards, Clinton, Gravel, and Kucinich were all in the running for the nomination along with Obama.

I also went back to the 2004 election threads, but you didn’t post in any of those, so there was no way to know if you were a Democrat or Independent that year.

He flips-flops just to have his obama hating stance seems true. I knew he was BSing when he said he was democrat for 50 years. Despite the fact that the democrat and republican stances of the south(you live in Kansas part of the bible belt) didn't switch till 1964 after the civil rights act. So since you said you registered 50 years ago supposedly as "democrat" in essence you really are supporting conservative and republicans ideals.

Also I found this interesting and amusing video and it was from none other than....yes FOX NEWS!!!! Most stuff is BS from them but I give applaud to Ben Stein to having balls to tell FOX they're fucking wrong about the economy.

<iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OFZ8h2ygIcg" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Notice how the Faux sheeps hosts shit their pants at a fiscal conservative saying this. He debunk what Romney wanted to do which was to lower taxes on everyone and be able to crow the economy and also lower the debt. How does Romney think he is going to give a capital gains tax relief to the middle class and still recover loss revenue.

This is why I'm baffled by your support for Romney. He is trying to buy the middle class vote with this tactic, and you're perfect target of that.

I'll make another post to respond to your previous post.

Why does it have to affect my life personally? I'm thinking the good for others for the country in general, not always for myself. It's called being selfish less.

dvdjunkie wrote:You won't be able to answer because they only affected the wealthy people who are in back pocket.
That's where I don't get you. A retarded monkey with a bullet in his left nutsack is able to tell that Romney is for the wealthy and would be helping them rather than us. His donators are bankers from wall st. for cripes sake. The wealthy hate Obama. So I dunno why you're saying that the stuff Obama does only benefit the wealthy.

dvdjunkie wrote:Obama's $200 million loan from China has done nothing to improve the American Economy,
200 million is a pretty small amount of money relative to the US's budget, deficit, or pretty much anything involving the whole US economy that's counted in trillions.
dvdjunkie wrote:and the 22 million people out of work don't hold much water in his quest for re-election.
The chart. read it.

dvdjunkie wrote:He can't tell the truth. He avoids answers that he thinks might hurt his stance in the American eye.

Many politicians don't always tell every single 100% truth. That's obvious. I'm not fucking naive. But from what I have gather and have read and watch from both platforms, Romney going make things much much worse in long run.
dvdjunkie wrote:He doesn't realize there are smart people that pay close attention to details, something he doesn't believe in.
Or maybe you're looking into every single inane bit of detail you can find and try to somehow turn it into a justification just to support your extreme vendetta against Obama.
dvdjunkie wrote:Explain his failures in the economy.
Did you not look at the damn chart Mayhem just posted? Unemployment rate is steady going down. What, do you think that it'll magically go down at light speed rate within 4 years? The Great depression didn't completely come out of it until 15 years. What makes you so believe a recession will solve in a mere 4-5 years? Why are people keep saying the unemployment rate so high? This isn't 2010 when it was. I would know this since my class graduated college in 2010 and I knew fellow students who were having terrible time finding jobs. But I been recently hearing those same fellow students are now earning good jobs now. And this is in Northern NJ, NYC area to keep you in mind.
dvdjunkie wrote:Why did Solyndra go down.

Why is A123 filing Bankruptcy Protection after receiving over $100 million from Obama in stimulus money.
These two I can't comment on since I'm not to familiar with those two news events. But It's worth pointing out that it was one of many companies to get stimulus money, and even Romney admits less than 1% of the companies that got stimulus money failed.
dvdjunkie wrote:Explain how Obamacare is not going to raise taxes and what it will do to the Senior Citizens of our country.

He doesn't talk about the $750 million he will take from Medicare and Social Security and then raise your taxes, and by your I am saying the average American.
Obamacare is pretty simple though. It saves money because 1) it forces insurance companies to spend 80% of their profits on medical care, which means they have to lower their prices. 2) the individual mandate, and the fact that the government will help the poor pay for healthcare means that a lot more people will have healthcare. And if they have healthcare then they'll go to the doctor's because it wont cost much. And if they go to the doctor, then bad shit will get caught earlier: bad shit that gets really expensive later if left untreated (ie: the doctor catches a tumor early on instead of waiting for the guy to turn up in the hospital spitting blood).

similar to the 80% rule from above, Obama has taken 750 million dollars worth of money out of medicare, all of it going to overhead- basically overpaid insurance companies. The stuff that actually benefits medicare recipients wasn't touched.

All in all its a much more efficient healthcare structure.
dvdjunkie wrote:I am totally ready to take the heat and all the "I told you so's" if Obama gets re-elected. So don't worry. I will be here on November 7th to take whatever you can dish out. Like Divinity said, we honestly could give a shit. At first I was going give in to it, but then I realize, you're just baiting. So I said to myself, "Fuck this shit." I'd still laugh if Obama wins. But it'll only be small 5 sec thing not worth getting all work up over.

dvdjunkie wrote:If not, I will be here as promised waiting for all the stones you are going to throw, and also will be here over the next four years to listen to your whining and moaning because we are being attacked by terrorists, and our economy is going to be so bad that you may have to drop out of college and take a job at McDonald's. I don't recall any of us whining and moaning this past 4 years....except you.

Also our terrorist problems been handling amazing well as I pointed out earlier. If you're talking about Iran, one, they're aren't terrorist, two even if it because of the nukes issues, we're handling that pretty well. Not to mention that Iran doesn't have the military power nor balls to upstart a war anyway. If they did, they know deep down inside they're get their ass whoops by not just us but many other countries as well including their hated foe, Israel. And three, Iran is just like N. Korea, who do have nukes, in that they only make political ideal threats and nothing more other than that. In N. Korea's place, China keeping them in check they don't do anything stupid.
Iran would be same way. Just replace N. Korea with Iran and S.Korea with Israel.
By Romney saying we should take down Iran, that's telling us he wants another war and this time with Iran. We don't need that. We should be done with wars. Going into more wars will only increase deficit even more. Do you want that?

As for the economy, as I already said, it steadily getting better. Not there yet but it will. Unemployment rates are slowly going down I have nothing to worry about in finding a job. I'm majoring in cartooning at School of Visual Arts. School of Visual Arts is an excellent school in helping you find employment jobs and many of o the professors in the cartooning department works for major comic companies like DC comics or Marvel. And because of this, students are able make connections and networking. Networking is what gets you jobs. My one professor is one of the top editors at DC Comics and is going to help look into seeing internships for me in the company. So I have nothing to fear or worry about. Not to mention the city is big booming place for Art field, especially since two major comic companies reside in NYC.

If you write or rather draw in a comic book, I would like a copy autographed by you, as I think you will become a great comic animator. You are a good man, and a great friend.

thank you, but you'll probably have to wait a long time till that happens. takes years to become comic superstar like Jim Lee or J Scott Campbell. I wouldn't mind doing commission sketch for you like I did for Duster or Prince Phillip Fan.

To be honest, I hate people who do that. An artist put their time and effort to do a commission for someone. Only later that that person suddenly just takes it and sells it for more money on ebay or something. J Scott Campbell has that problem and is why he rarely does sketch commissions anymore or he charges more on them. I can empathize him on that.

Yeah people who do that irritate me. If anyone would be selling their signed stuff, it should stay between that person and the artist. Unless it's made and sold for charity.

I definitely would not do that. I'm not that type of person. It could be worth big money, but to me, it's worth more than 17 trillion dollars and priceless. Things in that category that I have are: My Art of Walt Disney book, autographed by Roy E. Disney himself, my color me be beanie baby with Jay Leno's autograph along with Kevin Eubanks and John Melendez.

I find that incredibly hard to believe.

That is quite possibly the best bit of research I've seen on this forum CJ  I can't wait to see him explain this.
