Great Idea!!! I like the cover art with the exception of Snow White and the way Grumpy looks. Snow White looks too CGI....dont like it. I like Sleeping Beautys cover art much better then this actually. If they change the font of the title tho that would make it almost as good.

It's okay Divinity. Also, I think some people just don't like floating heads, but are okay with partly disappearing, almost full bodies...maybe not, not sure.

I said closer than many, many other images, especially for merchandise and marketing, that we have seen of her! I know she's still off by some!

I really really love this, but just look at Dopey and The Queen. I know that all the characters' faces on this poster are a bit off, but Dopey and The Queen are the most off, and that sorta bugs me (mainly because I think Dopey looks creepy and The Queen looks like a man). Oh, and Happy looks kinda like Donald (look at his nose/mouth look). Oh, and Doc's hands are like the size of his body. :P

What I'm guessing is with this cover is a reset to the floating heads. Snow White started the heads, and I guess it will now end it.

SO am I guessing that the majority of ppl here dont like the floating heads???????

Anyway after a day of looking at the new cover art I still cant bring myself to like the Snow White. They should have made her look more like she does in the movie itself. She looks modernized or something. I dont know they should just stay true to the movie itself in their representation of her.

I love the vintage movie poster art. I have an autographed picture of Adriana , the girl who did the voice of Snow White and im going to put that in a double frame with a smaller reproduction verion of this poster on the other side. The mini poster im going to use is from the giant box set that was offered the first time Snow White was released on VHS. That is worth picking up if you dont have it since it has quality prints of all the movie posters that were made for the release of the film over the years.

I actually loved the first one, I think it was simple and beautiful. I also love the new version. I think Snow White looks beautiful in the middle. I love the way she's lifting her dress like in the dancing scene. I also, or course, like that all the dwarfs are one it. I don't really get why people are saying the Queen looks like catwoman or a drag queen or anything of that nature. I think she looks good. The entire layout reminds me of the old VHS cover art.

Gosh, I can't believe how many people can find this cover so great.
For me it looks way too childish and so "Hey, look at me, I'm a Disney Princess movie, buy me!!" I would have preferred something a little classier and a little darker. It's a pretty dark movie after all.
I don't really mind how the characters are arranged, but just the size and gesture of Snow White makes it seem like one of those bad books that re-tell the story of the Disney Princess movies.
No, definitely not my cup of tea.
For me the cover is just a tad too childish.

Classic movie shame about the cover art!

Post by Deco King »

The cover is absolutely ghastly a travesty of the classic Snow White !

The Wicked Queen looks nothing like her character the costume's all wrong the colours are wrong!

A great movie's well known characters mostly modernised out of all recognition - I hope that this is simply an aproximation of the final cover design - in short yechhh!!

Sorry if this has already been pointed out but I genuinely can't be bothered reading through 4 pages of "Wow It's so beautiful" and other nonsensical b******* to check.

Has anyone counted the fingers on Queeny?

I'm not too fond of it either. The Snow White "problem", IMO, is that in the movie and older posters her face was more full. She wasn't fat or anything but she had full cheeks. The new Snow White cover looks like she got a Hollywood facelift or something.

The only thing I like really is the fact that they acknowledged the prince.

Haha I didn't notice that, but it made me look at Snow's hands, and her left (our right) hand is looking a bit weird, but it's probably just the way it's drawn.

This is the giant poster for the 1972 italian reissue of "Snow White".
What do you think of it?

The Queen's right hand (our left) has the pinky finger covered by her ring finger, but you can see the fingernail underneath. Her left hand (our right) also still has the pinky, but that one seems to have gotten caught in the fadeout. If you zoom in on the image, you can see these.

I persoanlly like the floating heads.

This reminds me of the VHS covers. It looks "busy".

I understand not reading through the entire thread; just letting you know you missed my post. ;)

Rather poor posing then, those hard-to-see fingers might as well not even be there. Hope this gets fixed in the final version. :p
