You can see the theatrical edition has the same shot as the special extended edition while it should be like the 3D and VHS.

Oh ok. Yes, in that case the background is the same as the one in the Platinum Edition and both the Theatrical and Extended Editions in that picture you posted. It is not like the 3D Blu-Ray and VHS. :(

Oh that, yeah It uses the wrong shot again.

Something I'm trying to confirm right now is whether or not they put the mufassa cloud back in that was presumably removed by mistake in the lion king.

Edit: oh, to answer the question, is Beauty and the beast in 4k, they have an ultra HD which I assume to be 4k section, and that movie is not listed there. So I would assume what we have is just 1080p.

I was informed that it was not edited, but I don't have the service myself so I can't check.

So there's still hope.
TBH it seems strange to me that Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would debut in the format like that as if they are just like other films. They deserve better.

Really?? Do they have an UltraHD section?!?! (which actually means 4K, yes!)
What movies are listed there??? I’m dying to know!! :) :) :)

I heard that The Black Cauldron and The Sword in the Stone got new and improved 4K masters. Melody Time is in HD and uncensored.

that1guystudios from bluray.com says
I am happy to say now that they used the new transfer I’ve been talking about for a few months. It is 4K Dolby Vision. 1.78:1. Colors are fixed and detail is phenomenal. Theatrical version minus Disney logo at beginning. Even retains the Silver Screen partners logo.
So perhaps you saw the HD version and not the 4K UHD version?

Has anyone watched Fantasia or Dumbo yet? See, on their Details pages, they contain the disclaimer "This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions." In the case of Dumbo 1941, that implies that the Crow scene is present and accounted for, but I am not sure.

It’s a lovely snowy morning here. It’s too bad I can’t stay in all day and explore the service.

First impression is they have a lot more shorts than I thought they would. I’m not an expert, it doesn’t look like they have everything, but they have a lot more than I expected. This is a great positive for me as I have almost no Treasures and was hopeful this would fill the gap.

I’ve got Dumbo on. The Song of the Roustabouts is still there. I see the crows are still there, too.

The Siamese Cat Song is still in the original Lady and the Tramp.

Briefly during the Fantasia “intermission,” a Fantasia title card is brought up I’m not sure if I recall it being this way on my Blu-Ray? Of course Sunflower is still missing. I think the disclaimer here accounts for the Chinese mushrooms, which are similarly racist but still present.

The fast forward and rewind feature works well. It’s better than Netflix’s so far.

Dumbo opened directly with RKO logo; Lady and the Tramp opened with classic 80s/90s blue castle; Fantasia opened with no logo, went straight to film; Frozen and Tangled opened with CGI castle logo; This is interesting to me because as a child of the 90’s I’m just so accustomed to seeing some Disney logo before the film.

If you click on “The Muppets Collection” it says “Sorry, content you are trying to access is not available currently.” Meanwhile, “The Darth Vader Collection” works perfectly. Lol

I don’t have a 4K TV or Firestick, but I wanted to check out BATB. I wondered if the colors might have been changed for the regular HD version, too. The Silver Screens credit is there, but the colors still look pink and yellow to me. It appears that the regular HD version is the same as the Blu-ray.

I was excited to watch the BATB episode of “Encore” and then I remembered everything is being released weekly. :( The first episode is Annie. I’ve got it streaming right now, probably the first thing I watch all the way through. EDIT: lol, maybe not it keeps freezing every few seconds

I’ve got about an hour and a half to play with the service before heading into work.

He says the mistake is still there even though the colors are fixed so I don't know what to make of this. I'll probably get it cause it's still better than the Blu-ray but this still makes me depressed.

Yes, "Melody Time" was censored when it was released on DVD. The "Pecos Bill" scene shows Bill with a cigarette in several scenes, but it was digitally edited out on the DVD. One entire lyric of his song mentioned him lighting a smoke with a bolt of lightning as he rode a tornado like a bucking bronco. That was cut entirely from the DVD.

But hey, it's great to know everything is uncut (save for "Fantasia", but whatever)!

It's funny. It works perfectly on my phone and not at all on my computer. I have watched half of the new L&tT and I'm watching Suite life of Z&C right now.

Funny how they censored Medley Time and THE SIMPSONS is not
