The new "Snow Queen" - a magical story about the adventures of a brother and sister. An amazing tale with a gripping storyline and a happy ending, which tells the sincere feelings of true friendship, and that always wins the one who believes in the forces. Here and a new storyline and new characters, and modern animation. The protagonists of the famous fairy tale - Kai, Gerda and Snow Queen - appear in a new and sometimes unexpected light.
Unchanged in the story, one thing remains: the good always triumphs over evil.

Re: The Snow Queen (WizArt Animation)

1. Snow beasts of the Snow Queen. Disney's snow beast is a ferocious snowman, while Wizart's snow beast is either an ice troll or ice ogre.
2. Anna, Kristoff, Gerda, and Orm the troll escape.
3. Anna, Kristoff, and Orm the troll snow slide.
4. Anna, Kristoff, and Orm the troll falling. SPOILER ALERT: True that it looks like Orm slides, but once he gets to the edge of the cliff, he falls. Next, Gerda saves his life by riding on an ice.
5. Frozen ships, except on Wizart's version, it was a guide ship on top of the roof.
6. 2 frozen kingdoms. Disney's kingdom is called Arendelle.
7. Elsa and the Snow Queen.
8. Power of the Snow Queens. Elsa casts her wintry spell with her hands, while her counterpart casts her wintry spell with her staff.
9. Olaf the snowman and Orm the troll save the day. According to the Japanese, it looks like Olaf the snowman is saving Anna and Kristoff from the snow beast. SPOILER ALERT: Orm the troll transforms into a polar bear to save Gerda from the snow beasts.
10. Anna, Kristoff, Olaf the snowman, Gerda, and Orm the troll in the snowstorm.
11. Anna and Gerda.
12. Kristoff riding on Sven the reindeer and Gerda riding on the reindeer.

Disney's version is surrounded by snow trees while Wizart's version is surrounded by rocks.

Which Snow Queen's palace do you like better? To Disney fans, probably Disney's. To me, I like both.

Repeat on the international titles, but the Japanese was included at the last image at the bottom of the right column.

Re: The Snow Queen (WizArt Animation)
Here's a review from the Annecy.
[SPECIAL Annecy] The Snow Queen (4/5)

[SPECIAL Annecy] The Snow Queen (4/5)

Gerda embarks on a great journey in search of his brother Kai kidnapped by the Snow Queen. Daughter and son of a Grand Wizard once frozen by the same Queen exasperated by the artists and the joy they bring.
Russia - 2012 1:20 - 3D
fairy tale - Comedy 5 years and +
The Russians had already adapted the tale of Andersen in 1957. However, it has nothing to do with the work of Lev Atamanov much darker. The atmosphere of the Snow Queen is definitely funnier and more Disney-ien.
However, we feel that the production would not imitate the studio, only inspiration. So the co-protagonist comic (the Troll) will evolve during the story, a cute little creature (weasel snow) and we find a lot of adventure. The dynamics of a Disney film is present, but we are not facing a vulgar copy-pasted. The film has a real identity in the choice sets.
Some passages are cluttering the plot yet well done: the King's castle, pirates or the rose garden. Gerda's quest living adventures too offset from the original story is lost. Some revelations are poorly conducted and tension is not exceptional, but the humor is good, poetry and fairy tale are fully respected. The ending is touching and quite honestly unexpected!
The young Gerda is not very endearing, his silliness is boring quickly, but more importantly, it is ultimately the Troll that will solve a lot of problems and is therefore a passive heroine.
The Snow Queen is perfect malice and cold while having some class and grace. The character of the story is well represented.
The Troll is a co-protagonist quite charming and intelligent that can only please from start to finish. His awkwardness, but also its tenderness are potentially the most endearing character in the film.
The atmosphere is really nice and the film allows viewing without problem. Dubbing VA is successful and the music that comes sublimate moments of suspense.
Visually, despite texture characters not really successful and 3D still not accomplished, the set is still very good for a Russian production. The ambition is present at both sets to completion.
CONCLUSION
On the adult perspective, the film may not appeal because its target is clearly children. However, we must salute the ambition of a country which we see some animated productions despite a period of fame in the next year 50/60.La production Wizart (who already think the second part ...) could, with a little more money, achieve a great level. A movie that I highly recommend for families!
The film was bought by Universal and will be released in France in the autumn 2013. Hopefully he has a good visibility despite the arrival of the next Disney Frozen on the same story ...

Russian Resurrection Film Festival: The Snow Queen (2012)
Chloe Sesta Jacobs wrote:“Their desire for power was so great that it consumed their hearts and led to a merciless war like never seen before, leaving no winners to speak of…”
The vengeful Snow Queen (Galina Tyunina) has created a world in which art is banned and punishment is emphasised over creativity. Her cold ambition rules the world, an all too familiar scene for Russia. Her last threat to power comes from a mirror owned by an artist named Vegard and when her polar wind kills him and his wife The Snow Queen believes she is free to rule with no contest. Years later she discovers Vegard’s son Kai (Ramilya Iskander), kidnapping and holding him in her palace. It’s up to his older sister Gerda (Anna Shurochkina) to travel across the country, facing and overcoming countless obstacles to save her baby brother.
The Snow Queen’s world is void of color, juxtaposed against the colorful landscape of scenes reminiscent of life under the Tsar and the post-Cold War era. There are capitalist and Soviet themes throughout The Snow Queen, creating a journey through the history of an incredibly volatile country. Drawing parallels with the absorbing history of Russia is the most enjoyable aspect of this film. While it isn't difficult to allude to scenes of Russia’s past, a convoluted plot with unnecessary and confusing characters leaves the audience wondering just where The Snow Queen is headed. We know that all seem to be yearning for a world where life is better.
The humour is lacklustre and while Gerda is undoubtedly the most endearing character in The Snow Queen, we soon grow tiresome of her journey, hoping she’ll reach her destination sooner rather than later.
The Snow Queen is screening as part of the 2013 Russian Resurrection Film Festival. For session times and further info, visit the RRFF website.

The Design Of Disney’s Frozen – Anna And Elsa Castle Posters Highlight Conflicting Styles
Brendon Connelly wrote:As we’ll be able to discuss in more depth in August, the designs of Disney’s upcoming Frozen often use conflicting styles in opposing pairs.
You might just be able to get a hold on the dangling end of that idea from these two posters, one showing the down-there castle where Anna lives, the other the up-there ice castle of her sister, Elsa.
Smart use of contrasting tones and both similarities and distinctions in the shapes there that will all make more sense when you know more about the story. As I said, we can talk about this more in August. Embargo.
And, you know, I think the juxtaposition of the sisters, each against the other’s home is an interesting storytelling choice too. They’re each looking out towards the other…
Frozen is in cinemas in the US on November 27th then on December 6th in the UK.

ANIMATOR. Gerda and Kai in a computer game
It turns out that Andersen - no profanity - can be shown in 3D, and one of the best-known fairy tale characters enter straight from the "Ice Age." And the kids will love.
The latest film adaptation of "The Snow Queen" premiere showed in Poznan "Animator for children." Animation was founded in the famous Russian Wizart Animation studio, but from the first dialogue (in English) knowledge that has been created to "internationalize." The cinemas in Poland will probably (be) in December.
This movie modern, three-dimensional, attractive. Uses the latest technology, and Andersen's fairy tales derived only those fragments that allow the entire resource of interesting use. It's like a good video game: dynamic images in three dimensions, an interesting graphical solutions, saturated colors, vivid characters. And ideas that recall some (random effect?) Adored by children in different parts of the world, "Ice Age." Ongoing snowballs, ice floes tear, avalanches and snowdrifts, struggling with their main characters. And hilarious dialogue and gags performed accompanied by Gerda: troll and ferrets.
This whole film very well designed mechanism makes the kids for a moment divert your eyes from the screen. The three-dimensional glasses on their noses sit in a trance, totally absorbed. A loud clap after the screening. It's quite a challenge to create an animation today, which children will react this way. Attacked from all sides are still productions that are increasingly less distinct from each other, which is happening more and more and more, faster and funnier. Some derive from another, successive copy of the first two. And even if there are genuine solutions that often they do not stand behind them.
It is different from the "Snow Queen." Because all of this energetic, spectacular and changing fast motion on screen the world does not escape the message of timeless fairy tale, after all ...
The Snow Queen wants to create a land of eternal winter, where the polar winds freeze souls and feelings. It also seeks to find and destroy all of the artists, the master glass-Vegard, the mirror reflects not only their faces, but souls. Children Vegard - Gerda and Kai - will have to come face to face with the absolute ruler and cold ... As in any good fairytale fights against evil. I must win: good heart Gerda red roses in a greenhouse restore smell, Kajowi - life and the world - spring.
The film is co-produced by Timur Bekmambetov, director of "Wanted, Prosecuted." The writing and directing are responsible Maxim Sveshnikov and Vlad Barbe, and the author of the soundtrack is an Emmy-nominated composer Mark Willot. Music is another big advantage besides the film - sometimes monumental, "thick," fluent, there is only a blank background. They do it in the film Latvian team Prata Vetra and Russian singer Nyusha.
Maybe it's just a matter of time and the film will also appear in the interactive version on console, Play Station, for example? To the kids instead of "The Sims" sounded from time to time in the "Snow Queen?" I do not really have anything against ...

Say, do you think Olaf would do the same for Anna against Elsa in Disney's "Frozen?"
And YES, I KNOW!!! The Snow Queen's arms are flabby. Why don't you tell that to the characters of "Despicable Me" and "Despicable Me 2?" At least their arms are kind of flabby too.
