uh, it's Raponsje actually..
To clear things up, the original fairytale in dutch is "Raponsje", but the dutch title of Disney's version will be called "Rapunzel"

That should settle things :)

Oops, I didn't mean it that way...

I didn't read robster16's post, so I wanted to delete my previous post but you already responded to it!

Anyway, Sorry if it sounded wrong. Again, didn't mean it that way.. :)

And something in Dutch:

Wow! Jij typt snel! Eén mintuutje na mijn post!
En nogmaals sorry! 'K vond het gewoon niet zo leuk dat iedereen mijn berichtje negeerde.

Here is an interview with Glen Keane, which includes him musing about making a hand-drawn animated film next time.

http://lineboil.com/2009/02/interview-w ... len-keane/

Of particular note is this:

"BRENDAN: Do you plan to work on any personal projects in the future?

GLEN: I want to explore new directions that hand-drawn animation can be moving in; directions that the computer has now made possible."

Well, Disney UK have f***ed us/me over again. First I couldn't see Bolt (coz I was out of the country), then I couldn't see The Princess and the Frog without it being somewhat spoilt by newbies (not necessarily on here). Now, I leave the country again and they don't release Tangled in time for Christmas (when I will be in the country, after all), but postpone it "until January" (http://www2.disney.co.uk/tangled/index.html). That means that I'll more likely have to wait for this on DVD/Blu-Ray now (as I did for Bolt), ultimately encouraging it to flop theatrically. Absolutely brilliant. :(

Anyway, back to Tangled/ Rapunzel.

It's funny. I just realised that if you're german and you read some dutch sentences just often enough, you will understand what is written.

@supertalies: roally like Beatrix herself :D

PS. My sister is in Amsterdam now and I hope REALLY that she bring some vla and liquorice to Germany. Can't get enough of that stuff.^^

I apologize for my delay in posting this, but I just posted on my blog discussion of the Tangled panel from Comic-Con. Some things I think I have been said already, but there few new tidbits and behind the scenes stuff. There is also discussion from my second day there, if you care to read. FYI, the pictures are small, but click on them and you'll see much larger versions. Enjoy :D

Talking about names and translations…

Everybody now knows that the King and Queen ‘s Kingdom is called the Corona Kingdom… Is it only in France that the name CORONA stand for a.. BEER ???!!!! Please, please, please… make them translate it differently in France !!!!! ... otherwise it would sound like a gag... maybe because the vikings in the taverns of tghe kingdom are very fond of beer ?

In the U.S., Corona is a brand of beer, too. Probably lots of places...

xDDD You're right!! "Corona" is a spanish word that means "Crown", and also, the name of that beer xDDD

I hope the spanish version of the movie to avoid sentences like "La heredera de la corona de Corona" ("The heir of the crown of Corona") because its very usual in films with a royal family and that stuff, It would be very confusing!! =/

Hey I got a joke for you: What do people do at the Kingdom of Corona? Drink Corona everyday till they get drunk? Or how about his: What would Rapunzel do at the Kingdom of Corona when she sees her parents the king and queen? Drink Corona till she gets drunk with pub thugs at the Snuggly Duckling? Get drunk with the king and queen? Forgive me, but calling the kingdom Corona makes me want to tell a joke based on a beer. Even my father that runs the restaurant sells Corona.
